i dunno if this has been posted yet but i just saw something about it on nfl network...

shawn alexander, edge james, brian westbrook, ahman green, and like 3 other good RBs are potential free agents at the end of this year

if most/all of them stay unsigned (which i realize is highly unlikely) what are we possibly gonna get for ricky??

im thinking either MAYBE a 7th rd pick, some sorry player, or he stays...:shakeno:

He stays, but I doubt it, some team will want him...but on the other hand, his salary will probably reasonable enough for us to hold unto him another year.

I have to think that keeping Ricky would be the first option. Certainly the Bills would have preferred to keep Henry.

arizona might be in the market for a rb...i say we could get a 2nd rounder for him

yea i know but whose to say eh will pan out? or not suffer an injury....SF needs a RB as well

SF has a lot of money invested in barlow, and he isnt excatly considered a dud yet

whos to say arrington WONT pan out? you cant just assume they will need one already. also, im sure they'll give him more than one year before they consider him much of anything.

and a 2nd rounder? get real. especially with all the RB's that are going to be available AND we dont even know what he's going to produce this year, how can you say that? wow man. lets not forget ricky himself said he's retiring after 2 more years.

It's too early to know what'll happen yet. RBs in the draft will be one large factor...also what Ricky produces and what Shaun and Edge produce. I think Ahman Green will re-sign.

It would be smart to keep Ricky if he produces this season.

how can you NOT call barlow a bust?...and i said maybe...this year still hasnt started yet...it was all hypothetical.....as for ricky saying only 2 seasons....he also said hed never play football again

Ricky has never been a problem money wise. i say he stays

i say we wait and see if:

1. ricky can return to form and be an elite running back again

2. if Ronnie brown can make it in the NFL.

we need to find these two things out before we try and trade anybody IMO. i don't think anybody will want ricky untill they see what he can do after his year off. except maybe Al Davis. i mean Ricky would fit in perfectly with the Raiders. If we could swing it cap wise i would take a ricky for woodson trade.

idk man, if arrington has a good season their set at RB becuase they have hambrick and ship to back him up, and idk about the 2nd rounder either

Excellent point. James and Alexander probably walk, and there's a lot of question exactly who would be looking for an RB next year. Right now, there's too much up in the air to project his trade value, but having a glut of quality runners on the open market probably doesn't bode well.

alexander signed a contract that says seattle can NOT tag him next season. so he will be a FA.

and the answer to your question is.....
nothing worth trading for.
