If they are signing bonuses they count towards cap or dead cap. Roster bonuses are certain criturea bonuses that are differant

All guaranteed money counts against the CAP. Everything else is off the books. For instants a roster bonus in the second year, if guaranteed, counts if not, then it's just wiped off the books.
