Can anybody find a list of who will be available next year? And who will we target if we are in the top 10 in the draft? Let's keep this a positive thread and respectfull argue our opinions if we think somebody's a lunitic.

I am hearing alot of Vince young I believe it is! Texas qb. Sounds like he is a stud but I would like to hear some input from those that have seen him play a number of games. Is Brady Quinn eligible to enter the draft? Or will we tab a guy like Shockley or that caliber later in the draft(rounds 4-7)

It looks like on our list the only guy that I would resign would be Lance Shulters, maybe Sammy Morris depending on the running back situation next year

I was aboutto postthe same. I think they will get free agent OL and draft O line. Big question is QB.
 
when marino retired we should have kept huard not fie fie and we wouldn't be having the problems we have been since marino retired in 99
 
If we keep shulters and sign will demps our saftey situation would be pretty good, i also wish we can get Lecharles Bentley from the saints.
 
martin, kitna, carr is all that is available outside the draft. Oh yeah, harrington should be able to be had for a 3rd probably.

The FAs in bold are the ones I would like to see the fish get, you cant really predict these things so they might change, I put a ? next to Brees beacuse we dont know what the Chargers will do.

LeCharles Bentley is one of the best centers in the league and was drafted by Mueller. We will definitely make a pitch for him and he will be well worth the money. I would love to sign David Carr (And are you kidding? There is NO WAY they franchise him! 8+ million!?!?!?!!!) and then use our 1st round pick on defense- either a stud LB like Hawk or Greenway, a stud CB like Jimmy Williams or if we are picking somewhat later, a S who Saban knows well in Leron Landry. IMO if we could add Bentley, Carr, Demps and then Jimmy Williams through the draft, the team is looking a lot better. The key is that these are some of the YOUNGER FAs on that list.

Some more minor guys that I really like:
-Chad Williams, SS from the Ravens- very good tackler/ST guy.. A better Tillman really
-Ben Taylor, LB from the Browns
-Mike Pearson and Salaam- Both tackles from the Jags would be solid additions and probably wouldnt break the bank for either
-Larry Tripplett- DT Colts
-David Thornton, LB Colts- Young and fast and feisty
-Ben Leber, LB Chargers
-Another cheapter but interesting C option would be Hartwig from the Titans
-Will Witherspoon, LB from the Panthers
-Jerry Azumah would be far more affordable then Clements/Woodson if we dont draft a CB early
-Moe Williams if we lose Sammy Morris (which I dont think we should)
-Will Allen, CB Giants
