QB- After obviously fixing the starting position, we could use a veteran backup now that Sage is gone. I think we condsider yes, bringing back Jay Fiedler. Other guys are maybe Anthony Wright or Tommy Maddox. My goal for the backup position is that we have a guy who can give us a chance to win.

RB- If Ricky Williams is indeed lost for the year, maybe a guy like Maurice Morris or a RB/FB Verron Haynes. Both have proven valuable.

WR- I think we need a young No.2, so Givens would be an obvious choice. I think we could also try to get a guy like Jabar Gaffney or Reche Caldwell for flat speed.

TE- I would be in huge favor of the Dolphins pursuing Jeb Putzier. He is starting quality and a playmaker. We need a good backup. Justin Peele is also a good backup.

OT- If we go after a starter, Tom Ashworth or Jason Fabini could be good fits. Mike Pearson could be a good backup, but he may be too expensive

OG- Draft one, I like our guards

C- I am not opposed to bringing back Seth McKinney, but an upgrade would be nice. I can get on board with Mawae, but a young guy like Melvin Fowler could be a good fit.

DE- I think we are fine here. We have youth (Matt Roth). A good veteran backup (David Bowens) and two great starters (Kevin Carter and Jason Taylor). Although, I really like Carlos Hall and Kalimba Edwards. Both are good pass rushers.

DT- I really think we need to address this spot. We were good at DT last year, but Traylor will be 38, Zgonina is an average backup, Vonnie Holliday is good but not great, and Manuel Wright is still raw and needs time. I think we maybe dump Zgonina, and go after a top guy like Sam Adams or Grady jackson. Although both of them are younger versions of Trayor. For a pass rushing DT, we could consider Rocky Bernard or Russel Davis

LB- I am not sold on Hodge. I would rather him as a top backup. I see another Morlon Greenwood or Derrick Rodgers in Sedrick Hodge. I would rather the Dolphins go after a solid LB like Akin Ayodele, Willie McGinest, Lavar Arrington, or Julian Peterson. Other inexperienced guys I like are Dashon Polk or Nick Greisen.

CB- I would like Daniels to be NO.2 CB, Poole to be NO.3, and Goodman to be No.4. Therefore, either in free agency or the draft, a No.1 Cb is a must. Guys on the market that I like include Andre Dyson or Ty Law. Other lesser known CB's I like include Corey Ivy, Fahkir Brown, and maybe Ahmed Plummer.

S- Plenty of Safeties on the market, so the Dolphins could make a splash at this position. No old guys, we should look for youth in the secondary. Maybe Tank Williams, Chris Hope, Will Demps, or Adam Archuleta if the Redskins don't snag him.

Once the QB situation is taken care of, Saban needs to get on improving this team. In my opinion, we could have as much as 5 new starters not including QB on this team. A CB, a Safety, a DT, a OT, and an OLB. Through draft and free agency, and with come money through cuts and restructured contracts, the Dolphins can get this done!

OG-i wouldnt mind some1 else added
C-looks like mckinney will be our starter next year
DE-were fine
DT-were ok
LB-Hodge is speedy i think he'll be a good sub-in but we need some1 else spagan is not a starter either
CB-Jimmy Williams if he's around in the draft would be amayzing fit here
S-Chris Hope is a stud we should hop on that group and go after him

QB- Dumbo? Oh heck no. What next? Wanny replaces Saban? I'd rather bring in Griese since he didn't really have a fair shot when he was here. At least he performed well in Tampa and would be a decent backup.
RB- We don't need to worry unless we lose Sammy Morris. In any case, we're fine.
WR- I wouldn't mind having Caldwell or Gaffney.
TE- I don't think Putzier will come in cheap. If not, no need
OT- Definitely need to get a veteran here. Ashworth can fit the bill.
OG- We can use a veteran here in case of injury in addition to draft.
C- I wouldn't mind bringing back McKinney cheap but I'd like to see a dominant Mawae starting.
DE- We're fine but if Saban can get a good one cheap, that's good
DT- Definitely could use Adams to relieve Traylor in games and also draft a young widebody NT.
LB- Hodge can provide depth but I'm not sure he can make a good enough impact. I agree that another LB like McGinest will seal the deal along with a quality Crowder-like draft pick (Havner is my choice)
CB- Definitely need a veteran #1 CB.
S- We need one solid veteran like Archuleta especially if Schulters is gone.

QB - Fiedler? Why not keep Frerotte instead? Only FA QB's I would accept are Brees (to start), McCown/Wright (backup duties or compete for starting job), or just keep Gus.

RB - We need to sign Sammy Morris. I would also conisder Najeh Davenport along with the other two you mentioned.

WR - I think Givens is with the Pats, and I would consider Antonio Bryant before any of the other options you listed.

TE - I feel that we're fine in this area, and I don't know about Putzier being a playmaker. However, I wouldn't be opposed to brining in another TE.

OT - I like Ashworth, but we can also conisder Brad Hopkins or Willie Roaf.

OG - I agree with you here.

C - I like your two options with Mawae and Fowler, but I would also add Justin Hartwig to that list. I would conisder Mawae and Hartwig before bringing back McKinney.

DE - Agree with you here again, and I like Carlos Hall. I would be in favor of getting him, but I think he'll be to much $ for a back up role. He was a starter in Tenesee and the Chiefs (I think).

DT - I think we need some help here as well. I would be in favor of cutting Zgonina but he's a solid back up and he's cheap, however if we bring in another DT it could get crowded. I would like Adams here.

LB - We need to address that other OLB spot and Hodge is not the answer. A solid backup I think. But the man we need is Peterson. If not him I like Ayodele. Hodge and Spragan will be servicable backups. Arrington is already signed.

CB - We need some additions here and I think we need a veteran presence here and Law could be the man. As well as drafting one early.

S - Like all you listed except for Archuleta.

I would like us to get DeShea Townsend, Sam Adams, Drew Brees, David Givens, Tom Ashworth, Kevin Mawae

draft Manny Lawson, Daniel Bullocks, Charlie Whitehurst

these moves would make us have a great team and we could definitely think about the SB if this happened

I like how you think dolphin11. By the way, I dont believe Willie Roaf is a free agent. I could be wrong, but he is a big name to not be mentioned in anything I have read.

You lost me at FIEDLER!!! Keep Gus or sign Pepper. Pick up Julian Peterson, some OT's and a wide-out.

I dont think you are much of a dolphin fan by saying something like that. fiedler, Wright... Maddox. Do you even watch football? By bring those guys to Miami, we arn't moving forward, we would be moving backwards

I have one player I think we should sign, ASAP. Cornerback Will Allen. Played with the Giants the past few years. He doesn't have the prototypical size for a #1 cornerback, but he does have the SPEED, quickness, and playmaking ability to be one. as well as a decent tackler. he's definitely no deion.

I WANT WILL ALLEN! :dolphins:

The way I see it, we realy only need to look for three or four more FA's. A Safty (Chris Hope or Tank Williams), a Center (maybe resign McKinney or try for Jeff Mitchel of Mike Flanagan (they're older, but still good), a backup QB (I'd love to get McNown, but Greise, Collins or Maddox would be good as a Backup, but I wouldn't want any of them as a starter). Last position I would look at would be WR. Obviously, if we could sign TO and keep him quite, that would be great. Otherwise, I'd look at Quincy Morgan. He has great speed and can streatch the field along with Chambers. My whole idea behing the WR position with Culpepper is to help open up the run.. Two fast guys on the outside with either McMike or Booker cutting across the middle will keep 8 out of the box all the time, giving Ricky or Ronnie room to run the ball or swing out of the backfield for little passes that can turn out to be huge with the right blocking..

will allen is ok........but the guy can't catch ANYTHING. I live in the heart of Giant country and an upgrade for Will Allen has been a priority for the Giants for a couple years. I'd rather look elsewhere.
