This might not be the greatest of NBA free-agent crops, but there is plenty of talent for teams looking to fill needs.
The Detroit Pistons' Ben Wallace, the defensive player of the year, is the biggest name among those becoming free agents Saturday. There's a two-week negotiating period before signings.
Other top players available are Dallas Mavericks point guard Jason Terry, Indiana Pacers small forward Peja Stojakovic, Toronto Raptors point guard Mike James, Atlanta Hawks small forward Al Harrington and Sacramento Kings shooting guard Bonzi Wells.
"If you equated it to the A list celebrities, I'd say it's a C+ list, but there is value there," ESPN analyst Greg Anthony said of the class of free agents. "Ben Wallace obviously is probably the biggest name; Bonzi Wells is another guy who has kind of come on late."
