Now i know this is our 2nd biggest need behind ILB. But we could very well get it done in FA.

Antrell Rolle
Oj Atowge (sp?)

These are the only 2 worth giving a look at IMO. I'd Rather have Atogwe before Rolle. He is a all around saftey. Rolle is very good but Atogwe is the 2nd best FS behind Reed. & there both FA this season hopefully.

What do you guys think about these 2 or give who you would want?
 
I have no source or true logic behind this statement, but I'm confident we won't replace Wilson this off-season.
 
I would love to get either one of them...the only things I have to dispute is I think Bob Sanders after Ed Reed, but thats besides the point

It all depends on what happens in the draft. If a solid FS falls in the draft I'm sure they will snatch him up. But maybe the FO feels there is enough reasons to justify his poor play. (Rookie corners, awful LB play forcing him to play the run + be outmatched by massive TE's in the pass game)
 
I don't think Rolle is a free agent, either. Some other FS FAs we could look at are Ryan Clark (Pitt), Nick Collins (GB), and Darren Sharper (NO). I think Sharper will get re-signed, but I'd love to see 1 of the other 2 as a Phin if we can't get Berry in the draft.

yeah also this is his first year at FS and they probably predict he will get better

I was excited when we signed him and expected something completely different

Nick Collins would be awesome so would Sharper but he will be resigned

a lot of people expected him to be the guy he was on the giants. he's not a terrible player, just a terrible fit with our current personnel.

Rolle isnt a FA but he is slated to get something like $14-15 million this year and as someone said on another thread, they have to pay Fitz something like $10 mill and Dockett needs a restructuring this year too, so alot of people dont think they can afford to keep Rolle this year. And I personally would love to give him a home in Aqua n Orange. After all he is from the U.
 
Im all for it, but im sure we will do our normal-no big FA signees. Get below the radar guys.
 
Rolle is not a FA but is getting paid 8 mill next year not 14-15. its 8 mill and will prob get cut if not new deal. the 14-15 is PROB the cap not salary.

He would be a great option at FS as is Collins of GB and osmoene everyone forgets...BATHEA! from Indy. I like that guy prob the most of hte bunch.
