Freeman: Everyone I speak to in the NFL says Manning to Redskins

nyjunc, no disrespect but please this thread doesn't involve the ***gy Jets. This is a Miami Dolphins forum. We are talking about OUR TEAM. You don't see Dolphin fans going on the ganggreen and hijacking their offseason threads involving the Jets do you?? Yeah I didn't think so.
Amen....
He's a big fat button pusher...... like homer simpson, only not nice, not even friendly at all !!!!
Imagine getting more pleasure disturbing fans of other teams than enjoying your own team !!! The Shame !

You don't consider Revis and Mangold elite? if Sanchez sucks and our drafts suck how do we always win more games than the more talented dolphins?

because despite our talent, our head coach was a special person. Morono single handedly lost us countless games. if you guys hated schottenhiemer, prepare for an epic sh1tshow with your new OC.

Marginal differences between Miami and NY...they're mediocre, we've been a touch worse than that although outplaying them the last 9 games of the past season....

Regardless of the rhetoric:

There's only 1 elite team in NY Metro: 2 conference championships*, 2 SB appearances, 2 SB Victories in 4yrs. 3 divisional championships, 5 playoffs in the last 7 years. Also the only NFL team to win the ultimate championship in each of the last 4 decades.

The Big Brother rules NY! Ain't no question about it.

*Actual, not playing for one.

Oh, and there's no way Peyton wants to go to THAT circus with azzclowns claiming they own the city, guaranteeing Super Bowls, throwing to clubhouse cancers and having unqualified meatballs calling his offensive plays.

yes, you have been a "touch worse". Maybe a Jerry sandusky touch worse, you haven't won a playoff game since 2000, you haven't competed for a playoff spot since 2008, you have only competed for a playoff spot ONCE since 2003 but yeah you are a touch worse:lol:

I understand, talk to your fellow phin fans who changed the topic.

But I thought it was all b/c of the OC? now it was all the HC. who do you blame next year?

hmmm, talking about relevant franchises vs Yets:

5 real SuperBowls to zero real SuperBowls in the post-merger NFL where the playoff season actually consisted of more than 2 games, today's equivalent to a conference championship. Nuff said.

you can talk about the 70s and 80s all you want but my team has been MUCH better than yours in recent, relevant times. Our lone SB win was 43 years ago, your last of 2 was 38 years ago. I wasn't alive for any of them, I was alive to see Miami blow a SB to Wash in 1982 and get humiliated by SF in 1984. Miami has made 2 title games since 1985 and got blown out at home in both games, the last time they were close to a SB was 1984, we were close in '09 and '10. The last time Miami was close to a title game was 1984 when they choked away a big lead at SD so you can talk about the 70s and 80s and the brief 2 year run of winning SBs all you want but try to come back to reality and recent, relevant times.

Not sure but this thread appears to have gone off topic............:idk:

Please stop using that disgraceful 09 Salvation Army backdoor portal into the POs. A 7-7 team, that lost 6 straight and who beat opponents with a cumulative .400 winning record getting into the playoffs was such a league disgrace that the NFL changed their late season scheduling as a result. Any team can get hot for 2 games in a row, especially when kickers **** up and when they face dead teams walking who played .500 ball for the last 6 games of the season and were outscored by 20-30pts. You call that "close" I call that "lucky".. that's at least until one of the gifting teams decided to play and despite injuries to 2 of their key defensive players, still outscored them 24-zip in the last 31 minutes.

I'll give the jest credit for last season, but no more credit than I'd give the Fins for their 08 season where they actually won a division title :idk:

when did we lose 6 straight? It's amazing how you are always wrong.

if any team could get hot for 2 games in a row why wasn't Miami able to in 2008?

Doesnt this ever get old? I mean really its the same back and forth every single time, carries on for 10-20 pages, regardless of who started it, lets just end the Jets vs. Dolphins discussion

This thread in the title has the key words of "Manning" and "Redskins" and NEITHER has been the discussion for about the last 4 or 5 pages

In the end neither team won the Super Bowl which is the ultimate goal, lets at least wait until Free Agency hits, then there can be a 10-20 page discussion/debate as to who got the better players and which teams is now better set to reach that ultimate goal....

As we were both 7-7 going into your charity period, who's to say that if the Fins were the beneficiary of such largesse they also wouldn't have beaten a dead team walking and a choke artist kicker?

But you're right, it was 6 out of 7 .. that makes a world of difference. Except when it comes to a disgrace being gifted into the playoffs confirmed by being humiliated in the last 31 minutes 24-0 by one of those very same charitable teams. But again, I'll give you the same credit last season that the Fins get in 08, even though the jest never won their division. :idk: One good but not great season sandwiched between 2 mediocre ones does not make for an "elite" team, sorry.

Fact is you've never smelled a competitive post-merger Superbowl. 'Almost' only counts in horseshoes.

I didn't change the topic, I am replying to jealous rants from your fellow phin fans. Complain to them not me. I understand your point but I didn't skew the thread.

Miami had 3 non playoff bound teams to close the season w/ 2 at home. if they won those games they make the playoffs but they couldn't win a single game and you lost to TWO teams we BEAT earlier in the season.

Yes, trailing by a FG in the 4th qtr of the title game is being humiliated:lol: yet not being w/in double digits int he 2nd half at home in the WC isn't:lol2:

The difference is I gave the dolphins credit in '08 for taking care of business, even w/ an easy sched you still have to win.

We've been close, you haven't. Yeah it doesn't mean much but I'd much rather make the title game than have 0 playoff wins in the last 11 seasons, wouldn't you?

In theory yes im sure all Dolphins fans would like to have had those playoff wins, however, the Jets had put all their eggs in one basket to make those runs and are now left with a bad cap situation, and are now left with a disgruntled underachieving premadonnna WR, Plax already said he wants to be an eagle, a premadonna QB who regressed and who nobody on his own team believes in and coach said he wouldnt be opposed to Peyton Manning, just commited 12.5million to that same disgruntled WR leaving a clear open issue already heading into the 12' season (no matter what they will say publicly they will never be the same QB/WR combo), that same cap problem also made them commit money to Wayne Hunter who will be staying with the team, one of if not the main issue with the OL and that team, Bart Scott likely gone, Calvin Pace with his big $ contract another year older, Jim Leonard likely another cap casualty and i would think Brodney Pool gone so the safety spots are a mess, Tomlinson likely gone and bashed the locker room regardless, no veteran leaders to speak of besides your Center who is still pretty young, and a head coach who "everyone wanted to play for" to now the boy who cried wolf who admitted he didnt know what was going on with his team, and your new "OC" who is awful at in game decisions as well as being an O-Line coach who could not coach an O-Line
