Dolphins | Frerotte Maintaining His Lead?
Sat, 13 Aug 2005 21:36:07 -0700

Armando Salguero, of the Miami Herald, reports although neither of the Miami Dolphins quarterbacks, QB Gus Frerotte nor QB A.J. Feeley, had a good night Saturday, Aug. 13, Frerotte may still be leading the race to become the starting quarterback. Frerotte completed only six of 14 passes for 51 yards and led a drive that ended with a field goal. His quarterback rating was an unimpressive 53, but that was still better than Feeley's rating of 27.7. Feeley completed 6 of 13 passes for 60 yards and he threw an interception.

Release AJ. We took a crap shoot and we lost. He is by no measure a good QB. Bump up Sage and Brock

Frerotte leading Feeley WHO CARES?? They are both terrible. Neither one is worthy of being a starting qb. They are both ok backups at best. Chunk it up and start Berlin. Feeley or Frerotte wouldn't look any better against third team defenses!!! We should have drafted KYLE ORTON!!!!!

yup

Yup, both QB's are bad but frerotte looked better overall in pocket presence, mobility, and throwing that deep ball that chambers got tipped out of his hands:fire: :goof: :fire: :goof:

Tight end Randy McMichael talked glowingly about Frerotte, but declined to anoint him the starter.

"He's just one of those guys that you just want to get behind and give him all you've got," McMichael said. "You can tell in his swagger that he knows what he's doing out there. He knows the offense. He knows what everybody on the field is doing all the time. When you have a guy like that in the offense, it can only get better for all of us.

Very cool indeed :)

Tonight's game proved that Frerotte is no better than Feeley so now the question is experience or youth- Saban decides

No, tonight's game proved that Gus is probably no better than average and that AJ is much worse.

Why? What has Orton done so far to make you say that? Berlin has better numbers than Orton.
