Gus Frerotte, who lost his job as the Miami Dolphins' starting quarterback despite winning 9 of 15 starts last season, will sign Friday with the St. Louis Rams as a backup to Marc Bulger.
Frerotte, 34, will be reunited with first-year Rams coach Scott Linehan, his offensive coordinator in Miami last season and for the two previous seasons with the Vikings.
 
I think if Bulger gets hurt Frerotte will become the new starter if he pulls out some victories!
 
Good for him and best of luck in St. Louis. He was part of our rebuilding stage, and helped redefine our team's chemistry during the end of the season. For that, I thank him.

No doubt, man.
I don't think Frerotte got alot of credit, he was key to our rabid comeback.

Well, Frerotte played decently and if he wasn't so expensive, I wouldn't mind keeping him around for another year as backup.

Crap, that's a big loss, big loss with Culp's knee recovery still up in the air.
 
wow i totally didn't even think of that...real smart move for frerrotte too because bulgers always hurt.
