According to foxsports.com, heres the stats on both QBs so far.

Frerotte:
1409 Yards. 8 TDs. 8 INTs. 66.5 Rating

Vick
723 Yards. 5 TDs. 6 INTs. 63.0 Rating

If I was living on the moon, and someone gave me these stats and I knew nothing of these two QBs, I'd say Frerotte was the better QB. But then you look at the teams, and the explosive power of Vick, and come on. No comparison.

One runs for touchdowns. The other runs head first into walls.

Just thought the similarities (and differences) between these two were interesting. Hope I dont get blasted for talking about our QB.

You forgot to add all of Ferrottes fumbles. If he is going to be our quarterback he must take better care of the ball. You also didn't put up Vicks rushing yards and I guess you could also put injuries in the stats somewhere.

All the more reason to understand that stats do not tell the entire story, unless you look at every stat associated with the TEAM...Boy, if we could convice Hotlanta of this version of the stats, we might be able to trade Gus for Matt Schaub ???? LOLOLOL

Maybe this offseason Atlanta will hire Speilman for GM and we could trade them a 7th round pick for him,

Not to criticize one or the other QB our your post, but Vick has had also 6 fumbles this year compared to Gus' 8.

The only difference between the two QBs is that one is a Running Back, used as a QB, the other one is just a "pocket passer." That is what the QBR reflects, in that respect they are both bad at it.

compare Gus's pass attempts, completions and percentage too. It's not like Vick throws the ball 30 times a game. He'd be lucky to throw it 14 times a game. Plus he missed a game and has been hurt over the past few weeks. There really is no comparison, Vick is a better all around QB and a better talent. He just isn't a very good passer.....which ironically neither is Gus.

You know our quarterback situation is bad when I had a lay fan come up to me last night at this ****tail birthday party for one of my bosses, the University of Miami game was on TV in the den and the discussion went from Marcus to Michael Vick and the guy said the following to me:

"You know Michael Vick has a quarterback rating right now that is even lower than the umm, that guy who is playing for the Miami Dolphins? Talk about overrated."

All I could do was hang my head in shame.

Dont worry, for a franchise who accounted for about 30 seasons of greatness at QB i'm sure EVENTUALLY we will find another who can lead us to the promised land....or something like it :)

You shouldn't. Gus Frerotte has been in the league for a long time and played in the Pro Bowl. Just shows me that that guy has very limited football knowledge.
