Tony Sparano and his coaching staff are the type of people who like to poke the animals at the zoo with a stick.
What do I mean by that? I suspect sometimes they do things just to see the reaction it gets from the team. For instance, Greg Camarillo is working with the starting receivers today, leapfrogging over Brian Hartline and Davone Bess.
Why? Probably because they want to see how last year's opening game starter responds to the late call-up. Last year Camarillo got a similar call up after Derek Hagan's bad showing in the New Orleans exhibition game and never looked back, becoming Chad Pennington's favorite target.
So, why was Hartline in there for the past two weeks? Because they probably wanted to see how Hartline responded to the promotion, and how Bess and Camarillo responded to the challenge of losing the starting spot to a rookie.
What did they learn? That Hartline has the goods, but needs to be more consistent. And that Camarillo typically responds when challenged. Maybe they poked a sleeping bear in Camarillo.
The bottom line is it's clear this battle isn't over.
