I know that it's extremely early, and I guess you would expect a guy like Pat White coming from that kind of a system to struggle initially, but if this kind of talk continues I'm going to continue to gloat about the redundancy of the Pat White pick.
I have been a big fan of Chad Henne since he was throwing to Braylon Edwards in his freshman year at Michigan. Chad is a big-time prospect and a big-time talent with leadership qualities.
Chad Henne is and should be our quarterback of the future. If Pat White is strictly going to play QB for us, I guarantee it will be a big fat waste going forward.
 
says who says u? pat will be fine...most likely will beat out henne..too many intangibles..
 
I wish people would get off the mobile qb is the best bandwagon / I will take Dan Marino , Rich Gannon , or even Sage before I will crown another qb that is mobile but has a average arm.

in other words I will root for whoever is the qb but i think i would like to see Henne as the staring qb.

great point. and when has there ever been a scrambling QB with a successful career. im talking superbowls.
 
This mobile qb argument is valid because the nfl is changing an dif u dont have any sort of escapablity ur a liablity if the pocket collapses.. your telling me if another qb is more talent than the other then that qb isnt better? ud take a lost of yards or a forced fumble or a throwaway over a qb that doesnt give up on a play? has the talent and speed to escape the pocket and gain yards if no one is open or by design? come on now

how about think before you speak. think of all the good QBs in the NFL right now. Ill name a couple.

Drew Brees
Peyton Manning
Eli Manning
Phillip Rivers
Ben Ruthlessburger (spelled wrong on purpse because im too lazy to look it up.)
Tom Brady
Matt Ryan
Kurt Warner
Chad Pennington

Now, how many of them are scrambling QBs. Big Ben is the only one with some movement. But the NFL is NOT changing from the "big armed" QBs to the scrambling QBs. Sorry.

And again. Name one great scrambling QB in the past 10 years. No how bout in the last 30 years.

these guys are successful because they are superior passers, very accurate..if they were fast enough they would run...trust me...dont knock a guy because he's fast... now if you tell me henne is a better passer than white then thats debatable. If White is a better passer than Henne but because hes faster and chooses to run on some plays that makes henne still better at the position? I dunno, Pat white has accomplished more as a college qb than Henne. I like Henne, but it is stilla competetion.. If White makes more plays and passes better with more accuracy I doubt the FO would start Henne over him...everyone gets their shot but the better man always wins.
 
Vince Young has more talent then Kerry Collins. He is younger, faster, can make plays with his feet, too bad he cant pass for sheet. Theres a reason why people like him can't play in the nfl. Vince just out ran everyone in college, he cant do it in the NFL.

Chad Henne is the future of the Dolphins (hopefully). White will be a project player that will move to WR like so many of the other athletic, cant pass for sheet qb's coming out of college.
 
I dont see how u can force WR on a guy that barely played wide reciever..How can you tell a guy your good enough to be a QB but your gonna play WR...for the NFL...for the Dolphins..who need WRs..I dunno man...Henne is not set in stone. For all we know Chad Pennington could be resigned and Henne remains where he is.. Henne is the future only because he will be there in the future thats all.
