From the Enemy Camp: Who starts opposite of Revis against Miami?

Browner is going to struggle with the way they are calling penalties IMO. Big physical corners are going to take the biggest hit.

I see that Hartline is severely underrated.. Last year he had a better season than Larry Fitzgerald and Victor "salsa" Cruz.

I'll take Fitzgerald's 10 TDs over Hartline's career high 4 TD's.

Hartline is what he is, a chain mover. He's not a threat to score or take a short hitch 40+ yards for a TD.

Most likely Belichick will keep his CBs manned up on a receiver regardless of where they line up. So even if we put Wallace in the slot and they decide to put Revis on him then Revis will be in the slot. But that's the beauty of this receiving corp now. Gibson, Landry, Hartline and Wallace can all play in the slot or lineup outside and still be effective...and they still have to contend with Clay and Moreno coming out of the backfield. We can easily stay away from Revis and still march down the field. This offense is about mismatches and we'll find the best one and exploit it. And if they get antsy and start to blitz...Tannehill has a higher QB rating against the blitz that most QBs in the league. We'll see how it plays out.

I think Revis covers Wallace. If Revis doesn't cover Wallace, then you are pretty much forced to use your safety to play deep on Wallace's side and use a CB on him - thats 2 players. The whole point of having Revis is so that your safety is free.

If I were Belichick (and I'm not) I wouldn't give Revis any help over the top until Tannehill proves he can hit the deep ball. That's a risk worth taking IMO. Keep your safety free to cover Clay down the seem or help in the run game.

Yea thats pretty much what I see, use Revis on Wallace and let your safety double Clay with a LB. Also, Revis is a pretty good tackler and I suspect there will be some WR screens or hitch routes to his side, so I would keep him on the perimeter doing 1v1 coverage. Moving him inside to cover a TE seems like a waste of his skills.

I'm more worried about Rob Ninkovich. That guy is a freaking Dolphin killer. I swear we'll never live down cutting him as he seemingly makes big plays against us every year. Stats don't back it up for last year but it seemed like he was always disrupting a play or batting a ball down.

not a slight to hartline, just imo not a good matchup for him against a big physical corner

if Wallace can get some free release via formation, or motion do you all think he can run with Wallace down the field?

No he can't and it will be interesting to see how the refs call illegal contact and holding during the regular season. Revis is a physical guy who likes to cut off routes downfield with arm bars and his shoulder. Browner isn't much different except he's a lot less subtle than Revis.

So that's why he always play well against the Dolphins, they cut him!
