I would love to know the stats on Mare kicking from the dirt at Dolphin Stadium!! They can't be good. He missed an easy FG yesterday from the dirt but turned around and nailed two from the grass. We need to build the Marlins a stadium and get rid of the dirt if we are gonna keep Mare cause he can't hit from the baseball infield.

:dolphins:

I agree. The whole thing with the Marlins is are they coming or going?? Either way they need to get out of our stadium. I am sick of seeing their diamond in our stadium.

I believe Wayne has given the the Marlins a until 08? to leave.

either way, we won't see the dirt again this year, we won, so the miss doesn't hurt as much had we lost.

Well at least we've seen the last of it for this year. Hopefully the Marlins can find a home in south florida, because the age of multi-purpose stadiums is over. The only teams that have to share with baseball are us and the raiders, and noone wants to be assiciated with them.

[note: I'm a fan of both teams]

As far as I've seen over the years, the Marlins have produced more hope for the fans than the Dolphins have in "their" own stadium.

The Marlins have only been in the MLB since 1993, and they've got 2 World Series Titles.. 1997 & 2003.. what the hell has the Dolphins done since leaving the Orange Bowl after 1986? Not even a damn thing. We haven't done **** since 1984 in the Orange Bowl where we got crushed in the Super Bowl. Aside from from "individual achievements" like Dan Marino, Duper/Clayton, etc. the Dolphins haven't done a damn thing.

This doesn't support the Marlins staying at Dolphin Stadium, it just goes against idiots mistreating that franchise when it comes to the respect it deserves, and has earned over the years.

All Kickers Seem To Struggle On The Dirt. Mare Is One Of The Top 2 Or 3 Kickers In The Game. Thank Goodness The Marlins Are All But Eliminated From The Playoffs.

Lets Go Mets!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dude, for the money he gets paid he needs to make it from the dirt, the snow, the rain, the sky, another planet if need be.

He doesn't get paid like a rookie or even a chump kicker. He gets paid like a great kicker.

I wonder how Adam V. felt when he missed all of those kicks in the NE snow especially the one he made to catapult the Pats to the Superbowl...

Oh wait....HE DIDNT MISS he made the kicks he had to make.

Great kickers can kick off of anything and Mare has been playing here for how long now? His entire career?

So no excuses. Dirt or no dirt, he needs to make those kicks.

Uh screw the Marlins. Who cares what the Dolphins have or haven't done, SCREW THE MARILINS AND THEIR INFIELD. There are direct Dolphin losses because of the Marlins, and I wish them to lose every single game they play. The Marlins are easily in my top 3 sports franchises I despise.

EXACTLY.

This is his home stadium too. I can see if he was having a problem elsewhere, but he knows this is a problem when he is at home.

Amen brother, he makes them when they don't count and misses frequently in pressure situations, for his cap space and salary he needs to make them.

I still harbor resentments against him for missing game winning field goal against the Pats a few years back (resulting in a Tom Brady TD pass in OT)

I posted my feelings on Mare in the offseason, he's paid to much for his incosistency and I took heat on the board.

He's our Vandergadt percentage made is high percentage made when losing or in cluch situations has to be low. IMO

didn't he also miss a FG vs Pittsburg and Buffalo?

yeah he missed a 54 yarder in pitt and a 41 at home in buff on the grass...you guys make valid points....i mean if its YOUR stadium you should be able to kick a FG on the dirt...true and straight...I will say this though....the snap yesterday on that missed FG was bad....Donnie moved the ball late and it screwed up kick entirely....
