We are and 1/2 days away from the beginning of Free Agency and Miami has not restructured 1 contract...This is so mind boggling its not even funny.

Yet the Steelers have done this with Big Ben,Timmons,Colon and Woodley.Around the league and these are bigtime players such as Andre Johnson,Eli Manning,Dez Bryant,Richar Seymour,Micheal Huff,D'Brickshaw Ferguson,Cullin Jenkins to name players.

Theres no reason why Miami has not restructured a few players.Bell,Dansby,Long and Marshall are a few guys that should have there contracts restructured.To be honest 2 of the guys Bell and Dansby's contracts should have been terminated,IMO.

I fully understand that they dont have to but fo the love of god lets create some cap space.
 
What's your rush to create cap space? The Dolphins are just fine.....the Steelers and others where not.
 
Yeah I don't know the strategy behind that, hope we get some clarity on it soon. Some players should be released.
 
I don't know them, but there are certain dates we need to be under the cap. We are currently under the cap right now, so there really isnt any need to panic just yet. If they need to create space, they will
 
They will wait until the last minute. No need to topple the apple cart unless you have too.
 
Your assuming those players are willing to restructure. As for terminating Dansby, seriously? Filling holes by creating holes makes no sense.
 
Probably dumb to restructure now. Restructuring just puts salary into the future ... burning up Future Cap today.

If you hadn't noticed, we are 6-10, looking at a sub-.500 future ... best to save the Future Cap today, for when we really need it.

Once we get a QB & a few decent players ... we can use that Future Cap to plug some important holes. If we get lucky & get a good QB ... restructuring may be needed to build around that QB.
 
To be honest this a good sign IMO. Philbin must have plenty of confidence with what he intends to do and with most of the roster.
