I can't take this anymore. This offense is capable of being top five offense with an average qb.Receivers are getting open but no QB to throw them an accurate pass. Why is Saban being so stubborn? GUS SUCK...............!!!

I hate to see great talent like Chambers,Booker,Boston and now with the emergence of Welker.THe offensive line is actually playing well but this scrub keep overthrowing/underthrowing....

What a waste................................

I couldn't of said it any better. It really is getting hard to take! just to add alittle bit Ricky and Ronnie. Give Saga a shot, could it hurt? :fire: :yell: :shakeno:

Of course it could hurt. We're facing Atlanta and New England in the next two weeks, two very strong defenses. We have a shot at winning those, just like we're still a potential wildcard or division winner, but the last thing you want is to put in an inexperienced guy against a tough D. Remember when Sage played Baltimore? Everyone chooses to remember the opening touchdown but they ignore the four INT's, pick six, and fumble. If we're going to start Sage, maybe we should do it later in the year so he can have an easier game to adapt, maybe when we play Cleveland.

It was 3 INT's and it was his first career start. What you expect? He actually look in command through out the game unlike Feeley.People who are clueless are those who are not willing to give another player a shot base on experience. How the hell are you suppost to build up experience on the bench over a SCRUB..

Gus is a solid QB, hopefully he can work on his accuracy cuz he's our guy for the season IMO. The way he's playing now.. none of our recievers/TE can make a real impact, but he's not really making the mental mistakes, so I'm not gunna complain. Sure I want a guy who can hit Chambers & McMichael 8 times a game more than anyone, but Gus is managing right now so let's see how his 2nd half goes. I'm optimistic he can have a good stretch.

I am concerened that Evans was picked up by the Pats, the last thing we need is knowledege of our playbook in Bellicheks hands............

he could have put him in against the saints. we would have won that game with ray lucas quarterbacking. instead we're stuck with this loser probably for the remainder of the season. the original poster is right. Saban's stubborness regarding gus has made this season a true endurance test of patience regarding our team

Baltimore could make any QB look bad.....but you still don't have to expect Sage to win the game...just manage it....like Gus.

Gus is a Solid QB! Solid what? ****!! Come on I just don't see how it would HURT to start saga this week or any other week! Our line is actually blocking now and GUS still can't hit a open wr. IMO I just think Saga allows us to open up our O alittle.

It was his first career start, it was against a tough defense, he struggled.
If we were to start him now, it would be his second career start (almost a year after his first) and against two defenses that are much stronger than last year's Baltimore team. On top of that, there's a system we don't even know if he's comfortable in.
I think we're a rebuilding franchise, but with the way the division is going we're still legitimate playoff contenders. While Gus hasn't been great, we've won games with him. Sage could use more experience, I agree, but this is not the time to do that. We've got something of a good thing going now that Ricky has stepped up, and I wouldn't mess with it.
Sage will not be our franchise quarterback anyway, we're drafting someone this year and grooming him to be our started for years to come. The way I see it, we have more to lose than gain if we put Sage in. Sure, he could pull a Brady and lead us to the super bowl out of nowhere, but what are the odds of that?

Exactly. Sage didn't look perfect. I'll admit. But in his 1st game started, he still looked like he managed and commanded the offense waay better than AJ Feeley did in his 8 games started..and has a waay better touch on the ball than GUs Frerrotte. If we give Sage a few games to see what he can do that would be great. I'm not impressed with Gus' throws, but I am impressed with how HE manages the game as well. Does not make those mistakes Feeley couldn't stop making.

  • Top 5 offense?..... delusional... at the very least speculative.
  • Put Sage in... how could it hurt?..... Do you know the the answers to these questions... Can Sage run the offense.... Can Sage perform in REAL NFL games....? How many reps has Sage been getting?
  • What would lead you to believe a guy that has never risen above the third string except by default.... a guy that could not compete with the likes of any of the F's... a guy that fans love because he has thrown a couple of passes in meaningless pre-season games against guys that are now working for UPS or in meaningless scrub duty in games long decided.
  • A guy you want to put in when we are 1 GAME out of first place with the most meaningful games coming up on the schedule.
  • Replace a guy you that is making great decisions but is struggling with accuracy but still getting W's.... with a guy that has done ZERO!
  • And oh.... by the way.... I guess you know more than the coaching staff as well.
  • Have some patience... let the players and the coaches do there job.

Good thing going? Gus can't even manage the game because he can't complete passes. His completion percentage is worst with each game under his belt.Isn't that alarming to you? You want somebody who is gettign worst as the season progress??
