Let's say that Quinn is gone and the 2nd tier quarterbacks are picked through at the top of the 2nd round. If the Browns have Quinn, why not approach Cleveland regarding Frye? I actually think Frye can get better and it will be crowded for him in Cleveland. It looks like Edwards and Beck could be gobbled up before Miami picks in the 2nd round and that leaves Stanton and Kolb. I like Kolb actually, having seen him play being a Southern Miss alum. But I think Frye is a better quarterback than his stats last year.
I also think if Miami trades down they will attempt to get Staley. There simply is a big drop off after him.
I realize this a off the center idea on Frye, but I predict Cleveland will take Quinn. That will actually take some pressure off Miami and allow them to play the draft game with the teams below them.

Love the completion %, don't mind the ypa, but he had 10 TDs and 17 INTs last year. Not to mention the 15 fumbles in 20 career games (11 of those fumbles were lost).

Why would Cleveland take Quinn unless they think Frye can't cut it -- and then why would Miami be interested in Frye?

I didn't watch Cleveland last year, so I don't know much about Frye, but I don't think that 10 TDs and 17 INTs is that bad for a young QB on a rebuilding team. As for the fumbles, I think that might have been because the Brownies lost LeCharles Bentley in TC. Without a good OL, especially LT, a QB's fumble stats are going to soar because that's most QBs' blind side. When the Bills moved Jason Peters to LT after the bye last season, JP Losman's "fumblitis" disappeared.

Heck, there's a school of thought that the Browns actually like Derek Anderson better than they do Frye.

Frye's small hands were probably his biggest knock entering the Draft. Fumbles were an expected part of his game.....
