Profootballtalk.com reports that unsigned restricted free agent S Jarrad Page has requested a trade.
Page let Profootballtalk know of the trade demand via a press release that noted, "Entering the 2009 season, Jarrad Page had more interceptions than any other safety selected in the 2006 draft class." Page is coming off a poor season, but has shown playmaking ability, is cheap, and is only 25 years old. The Chiefs should be able to get a late-round pick for him.

I know I am gonna get killed for this, but I could not resist. Look I really really want Clemons to succeed, but I feel we need a veteran presence at FS.

Depends on how late the pick is really, we could still use some competition. I know Culver is there but, I see him taking the backup SS spot more than the starting FS spot.

Culver is a critical backup. He plays the dime position and plays well when he is the third safety on the field. I rather him be a key backup. Fins need competition at Safety and for a late round pick, why not? Chiefs and Fins have done good trades before, would like to see this one get done.

CK if you are out there, your thoughts are always welcomed

BTW Miami could wait this out and see if KC cuts Page, if they were to have any interest which I do not know.

cmon Fin,you cant be serious....this guy is worse(and yes,I do realize the ramifacations I'm applying) then Gibril Wilson

Its not even a hesitation on my part.I feel so strongly of this,I'd say there was a higher chance of Miami trading with Cincinnati for Wilson back himself!(this is no sarcasm...)

What do you based this on, he is actually a real underrated player.

of course this is my own personal opinion, but I've watched roughly around 4-5 Cheifs games the past 2 years...(downtime)

Right off the bat from watching him,his speed is atrocious.I know 40 time is overrated, but 4.65 for a FS is unacceptable, and he completely displays that speed. And,it would be different if he made up for it with being a playmaker, but unfortunately he doesnt.

Are we so quick to forget we just got rid of practically the exact same player.Page is even bigger than Wilson(225),and his coverage & run support are both nothing to plan for.Gibril had similar stats to Page, amtter a fact,Gibril Wilson has better stats than him.

I'm sorry,I really dont see why he'd even think he has decent trade capability, short of someone getting hurt in TC or Pre-Season.
