Hi fellow Dolphins fans, I must say that after season end, the draft is the next best thing.
I love to read everyones predictions of who we will pick for everwhich reasons, now I will try my hand at it.
I would like everyone to just remember this is not official, just passing time untill the draft starts, so please calm down and lets have some fun.

1. Michael Johnson olb. Georgia Tech.: its all about the pass rush, a good pass rush makes an average secondary good, and Johnson when the light comes on will be a terror in the mold of D. Ware. Johnson and Peezy would just be down right nasty.
2a. Alex Mack c Cal.: I don´t know why everyone hates Samson but Alex gives us lots more flexibility and that we can have Samson move to any of the three interior line spots in case anyone gets hurt and that means more quality depth if Thomas or Smiley have any lingering injury problems but most of all he gives Miami a power center that we need to start our power running game.
2b. Victor Harris db. Virginia Tech: We need to upgrade our secondary because we are a injury away from being in deep dudu. Harris would give us depth and a replacement for Allen or Goodman in case of injury.

3. Louis Delmas fs. Western Michigan: He could be a fine replacement for Hill if we decide not to resign him.

4. Domonique Johnson db. Jackson State: At 6 feet 2 inches He would give us length and speed in our secondary, its said that he can run about 4.3 forty. You can never have enough of those on you team.

Later rds. wr., o-line.

Free agents ilbs. pass rush olbs. nt..

Ok, let me know what you think fellas.

I don't think we go DB 3 straight . . . but Hardy would be a great pick in round 1 and Mack is a power running Center. Harris at 2b would be a value pick that also fills a need and I'm real high on Delmas.

I think u gotta get a NT in the draft, they just aren't in FA like that. Get our young NT now while we have Ferguson to groom him.

I'm expecting ATLEAST 3 LB's drafted.

I am with you Kdawg, its just that we wont get to much of an impact with the nt. and ilbs. that will be there after the 2nd rds..

The guys I have us taking in the first 4 rds I think helps us a bit sooner.

Looking back on the 2008 season, the problems we had with depth at the interior o-line, and don´t forget Arizona and the 2nd New England game, it showed us what big wr. can do to our defensive backfield.

Those are games that exposed us the most other than the Baltimore games and thats the reason I went with those guys.

No way Mack is there in the 2nd round. I would pick in in the first but he may not be there at twenty something.

Centers don´t get picked so high in the first rds. and with the talent at the center position this year I can´t see any being picked this year but you never know.

I think u are overrating Mack a bit . . . Mangold was supposedly the best Center prospect in years and he still was picked like 29th. Mack is not a better prospect than Mangold. He definitely is a 2nd rounder right now . . . we aren't reaching for him the first. We need to go BPA, Mack would not be BPA in round 1.

Mack would be great for the interior running game but IMO he isn't the best overall center in this draft, but I think he would fit our offense the best and would start immediately. Still think he could struggle a bit with the top 3-4 NT's but as long as he can hold his own, that is all that matters.

Kdawg, I think we could go with 3 LB´s within the first 5 rds. but who do you think would give us the best value and start on opening day?

If the Front office doesn't think they can get a guy in this draft past round 2 who can be our future nose . . . that means either 2 things . . . either they feel Soliai is the future NT . . . or we will draft a NT in round 1 or 2 . . . maybe BJ Raji will be the pick in round 1. But it's critical that we get our NT now while we have Ferguson still. The 3-4 NT's just aren't available like that in Free Agency or I would say we would get a guy.

I would say throw Ron Brace in there somewhere if anything . . . as he is right behind Raji at a NT, and maybe a better fit in the 3-4.

I like Hardy . . . hell I like alot of guys to start, but I'm basing it off of what u also think will be the free agent wish list . . . as u think we will address ILB there, which is cool.

The reason why I'm bringing up NT is . . . the guy we need is not in FA and its critical we get that guy now, even if he doesn't start this year.

We could get Scott and Dansby in Free Agency, and then LB becomes less of a need.

We definitely need to get a FS . . . Delmas is great.

We definitely need to get a NT, whether he starts or not . . . Brace fits the mold and either him or Raji may start also.

We definitely need a C . . . one that fits this power offense. Mack is a solid pick

Those are 3 draft needs that we gotta address, because it just isn't there in FA.

We also need a young CB, and u did that with Johnson.

So really if u take away Macho and put Brace . . . that draft addresses everything we need in the first 4 rounds. (assuming we get ILB through Free Agency and resign Carey making RT not a need)

Mack will be gone before we pick in the 2nd round. Bank on that, barring a bad combine. i love the guy id take him frist round he would fit our offense, if not tho there is some depth at C this year

Yea we would risk him not being there at 2a . . . u are right, but its a risk we are going to have to take because he is a reach in round 1. Maybe we trade out of the first round and get an early 2nd . . . but we won't take him at pick 24 . . . or whatever pick we have.

I don´t know if Raji or Brace would start over Fergi in the next 2 years but its kind of hard to judge, seeing that guys like Dorsey and Ellis didn´t exactly tear things up this year and I think they are better than the BC crew.
Ellis did pretty well but Dorsey was used incorrectly the whole year, I know they play different rolls but how would Raji or Brace impact us the first two years in your opinion?

1. Reach
2a. Will be gone
2b. Will be gone
3. Will be gone

Otherwise, sweet mock!

You really think that Greg Hardy would be a reach in the 20´s of the first round?
He has the talent to be top 10 if he wasn´t injured at the beginning of the season.
After Indy he might be out of our reach, he is a guy who can blow up at the combine so keep an eye out please.

Ok, let me know what you think fellas.
I love the 1st 3 rounds, only problem is, it's very, very unrealistic.

1. I like Greg Hardy, but I think there will be some better OLB's available when we pick. Sintim, Cushing, Okrapo are 3 that I would rather have. Selvie is also talented, I'm just not sure if he will transition well to a 3-4 OLB, and I wouldn't want to have the next Gholston.

2a. Love Alex Mack, absolutley love him. No way he falls to the 2nd. He probably won't fall to our 1st rounder. Best C prospect in some time.

2b. Again, I love Victor Harris. Living in Roanoke, VA, I've gotten to see alot of of Harris. 1st round talent though and easily one of the best CB's in the draft. So I don't see him falling to the 2nd.

If we ended up with this draft, I'd start putting money down on a Superbowl victory...
