Perhaps this team learns how to block in the near future.

If we do learn to block will Tannehill learn to make line adjustments, how to read a defense, how to have pocket awareness? or does he need aline that will block for a solid 30 seconds?

Nope not 30 , just more than one second would be nice .

Line Adjustment: "Block someone"

and here comes the deflection.

no one can ever just accept the facts that are right in their face...nope. that's not the FH way apparently.

it's tiring...and lame.

In other words you're asking if he'll revert back to the up and coming high potential QB that PFF ranked #12 in 2014. We can only hope.

I have a pocket on my shirt. I am aware of it because it exists. I can put my hand in it, place things in it, and move them around. If I didn't have a pocket on my shirt, I wouldn't be able to do those things, because the pocket wouldn't exist.

Moral of the story - a pocket has to exist before anyone can have an awareness of it and move around in it.

We had one game where the o-line was absolutely atrocious, the o-line was not that horribly bad the other 4 games or the other 4 years. are they great? nope but they weren't bottom 5, they were somewhere in the 15-20 range. This O-line is different than the one we had in 2012/2013/2014, the only constant is Ryan Tannehill. Big ben, wilson, rodgers all have equally bad lines and yet they make it work somehow, Manning and Brady have had all kinds of different o-lineman block for them the last 18/17 years without looking it up they weren't all pro bowl or all pro caliber.

Ultimately it doesn't matter if we learn how to block if our Tannehill doesn't know how to QB.

so were just going to pretend like the o-line has been this bad outside of the last game? like its been this bad the last 4 years? like all those sacks he's accumulated in the last 4 years are entirely on the o-line and not because he holds the ball too long and has no pocket movement. I've seen plenty of Marino games where he's about to get sacked and he moves a step to the right or left and buys a little bit of time, he didn't just stand there like a fool.

Well, considering he is just now being allowed to make line adjustments, while also having pretty good pocket awareness before Philbin's coaching staff started working with him, but has shown to be able to get it done when the Line actually somewhat blocks for him, maybe he actually just needs more then .5 seconds.

Ok so he's allowed to make line adjustments now why is he still the most often sacked QB still? maybe they didn't let him because he didn't know how? Dude he is the most sacked QB since he entered the league at what point did he have "pretty good pocket awareness" people have been complaining and waiting for that part of his game to improve since he was drafted. At first people were saying it would come with experience...well he has 4 years of experience now and the sacks are still coming.

I'm going to answer your leading questions with a leading question - are you saying he never steps up in the pocket?

Im willing to bet, in instances where a pocket exists in which to work, that every example you can give where he didn't step up or slide, there's just as many or more examples where he did.

And stop looking at the past through rose colored glasses. There were many times Marino gave up a sack when he shouldn't have.

If I had to put a percentage on the last 5 years - 70% OLine's fault , 30% Tannehill's fault
