Wide Receiver Facts

  • After securing four receptions on Sunday afternoon, Greg Camarillo has recorded 95 career receptions, only five away from the 100 mark.

  • Leading the team with 10 receptions, Davone Bess surpassed the 50 receptions mark and now has 59 for the season, which is already more than his 2008 season total (54).

  • Ted Ginn broke the 1,500 reception yards mark with his 34 yards on Sunday.

  • Brian Hartline caught his third reception TD on Sunday and now leads all Dolphin receivers in TDs.

Translation- We need more WR help :).

With 1 or two good aquisitions, via draft,FA or trade and those #'s will be significantly higher. I think Bess and Hartline definately deserve a true #1 who could take some pressure off of them. Can you imagine Bess, (ginn or Hartline) opposite a True #1, where Bess or them could take advantage of safeties focusing on someone else?

At this point, getting WRs in the offseason is mandatory is Miami hopes to contend next season. Not to sure what's the most viable route to obtain those receivers though. We will likely fall into the middle of the draft order and not many top tier WRs are free agents at year's end.

At least, Jeff Ireland and the rest of the Trifecta acknowledges that there is a need to address that position. Now they must act on that need.
