Posters here were killing Dawn Aponte over the last several months about her power and whatnot and wanted her away from the Fins.
Now all I see here is everyone praising the hell out of her.
Too funny, Finheaven at it's best.
 
Way to make a generalized statement that applies to an insignificant amount of posters. No need to bring attention to yourself. :rolleyes2:

This is not on Aponte. She handles finances. Hickey is responsible for bringing them in and the coaching staff for utilizing each player to the best of his ability. None of which is in Aponte's job description.
 
I had a problem not with her work, but that she seemed to be a meddler. I still think that's true, but she's in a position now where she likes the people she works with. I love most of her contract structures, really didn't like how she structured Albert. That should've been front loaded.
 
I never had a major problem with her, but it's too early for this. If the FAs don't pan out, people will change their tune.

A front loaded contract makes 0 sense for Albert. Wallace and Wheeler get a huge spike in salary this season, so Albert's should be low to account for this. Wallace and Wheeler's decrease slightly next season, which in turn accounts for an increase in Albert and likely re-signing of our young, emerging franchise quarterback.

We might need to sign Tanny to a long term extension asap. We have tons of space this year and next and I'm not comfortable relying on Albert for the third year where his hit is big.

Edit: You're right about the front load, the problem I has is being locked in for 3 years when I think the guy only is a safe bet for maybe 2.
 
this is exactly how it is with every person on the dolphins staff. free agency opening day omg what great moves.. draft wow lets go !! and then the season happens and everything goes to shizz.. happens every year.. every year has been 8-8 type season. when we break the mold, history will stop repeating itself.

I wouldn't give Tannehill squat until he shows that he can hit a speedy receiver in stride when they're open deep. Hopefully, Tannehill and Wallace will get on the same page this year and put up 10+ TDs.
