and now love them for the same reason....I hated Joey Porter cause of his mouth and now i cant wait till he opens it up and backs it up on the field.....i like this guy in our locker room...great balance with guys like zach and JT
 
Yeah this is so true, even opening game of the season last year, I wanted to rip every piece of hair out of my head when he mocked the culpepper roll.
 
I think I remember this being a Jerry Seinfeld bit a couple years back. I remember I hated Porter in that opening game week, but now that he's on our team, I can't wait to see what he does.

We get rid of McMichael, a jackass who talks **** but doesnt back it up.

For Porter, another jackass who talks ****, but DOES back it up.

Seems fair.
 
i cant wait for the press confernece......thats probably scheduled for thursday......im excited to get that nastiness down here in miami.....this may have just renewed my season tix
 
Still not his biggest fan, but he's a Dolphin now so I'll support him as long as he produces. I do think we needed some attitude on this team.
 
I hate Joey Porter but the second he has on a Phins Uni, I love the *******. It is funny how that works. :lol:
 
our D needs his attitude. We had too many nice guys like JT Zack and Carter. Now we add in a sprinkle of Roth, Crowder and now Porter adds a little nastiness. I like it.
 
Joey Porter is the worst free agent signing. His football skills are on the way down and we are guaranteeing him $20M? He was terrible last year in Pitt! The Rooneys obviously knew what they were doing dumping him and his salary. Can anyone remember a Steeler defector ever living up to his billing after leaving Pitt? Plaxico may be the only one in 15 yrs? Remember Chad Brown? levon Kirkland? Kendrell Bell? Kevin Greene? After they left Pitt they were never heard from again. I think we could have used this money in a better situation.....JMO
 
I seem to recall Kevin Green being a big part of Caroliona first trip to the playoffs. I know he only came in on third downs but he was a monster for them. Porter always seems to do well against us. Other then that I didnt see alot of him last year. That the chance you take with any big time free agent. Most big additions seem to be the one you go whoo never heard of him. But if he can still play our D will be NASTY. :cooldude: Maybe FO is trying to build a defence that will setup our O with a short feild all game long like Bmore.
 
He's not a fix all...

and I too was pissed with the Culpepper roll mock...

but he can clearly play ball. He is a significant upgrade at linebacker...

Pittsburgh released him because they were up against the cap and wouldn't be able to sign him, Faneca, Polamalu, Starks, etc...after free agency next season...

Boy, Pittsburgh is in trouble...for the future.
