Anyone else ticked off about these stupid decals the NFL made everyone wear on their helmet this weekend? I dont get how they try to fine Jake Plummer for wanting to honor Pat Tillman with a decal on his helmet, but oh lets send 2 sorry teams to Taco Land and make everyone wear a ugly little green decal. All about $$$$ I guess.

Taco Land? It's called Mexico. Take a day to think about it. - Mod

You had a good point and argument until the taco land crack. Taco's aren't even a huge hispanic food. They don't crave taco's everyday. They do eat other foods.

WATCH IT PRETTY BOY!!

:jk:

im sure some people will be offended by taco land though

I am Hispanic and I find this comment offensive :shakeno:, it would be like calling a place where white people live mayonnaise land.

By your concepts I guess I would live in the Jungle Land

Globalizing this sport is the right thing to do. Personally im from Chile and two NFL teams playing in Mexico is a very big step of hope and pride for international fans.

Why of all things did you say "Taco"? I've been banished to Canada where we don't know what a taco is. Lord, please get me back to Texas and Taco Cabana!

And don't get me started on BBQ.

I'm glad he got suspended, how do you do something like calling Mexico "Taco Land?" Very offensive.

The NFL is trying to spread (as we've seen with NFL Europe) and they're trying to promote the idea. I can't believe a little green sticker would upset someone so much. The reason they chose San Fran and Arizona in "Taco Land," as you so eloquently called it, is because California and Arizona are so close to Mexico. Half of the 105,000 people in Estadio Azteca are wearing 49ers jerseys, that's more people than at Monster Park. It's an exciting thing, it's a different thing, the sticker is really not that big a deal.
As for the Plummer thing, I think it's more about drawing boundaries. If you let Plummer do something differently, then you'll have someone else trying to do something, and so on. Then if you tell someone they can't wear a special decal or different colored shoes, they'll complain because Plummer got to do it.
