No crazy stories here but some cool inside info to help pass time during this offseason grind.

My best friend plays arena fb and recently we were hanging around some guys from his team. One guy i knew went to oregon around the time jordan was there so i thought id ask him a few questions about dion. I figured id ask some simple is he the real deal type of questions, expecting basic and generic answers about him. I wouldve been ok with that. But as soon as i asked if he played with dion jordan his eyes lit up and he just went on about him. He said he also played in high school with him and that he is the best player hes ever seen. Even better, he says jordan is a savage and relentless. He wants to be the best at what he does and wont be denied in getting there. "Miami got a good one, i cant wait to see him explode!"

I thought it was cool he went on and on about jordan pretty much unprovoked. Some people might chalk that up to friends boosting each other up but this guy is pretty honest and doesnt shy away from being critical of a teammate even if its his friends. He couldve easily said jordan was overrated like i heard him say about other oregon players. Anyways, just thought thatd b some cool info to pass a long. Sounds like dion jordan has the mental mindset to be great, to go with the physical tools.

... But, he didn't have 25 sacks last year. Bust of a pick.

/sarcasm

Bumpus right. Some fans are silly. Watch him kill it and replace Vernon or wake.

There is a reason why Chip Kelly keeps calling to see if we will trade him.

There's also a reason that Philbin, Coyle, and our coaches told Ross and Ireland that Jordan was the one player they wanted, above all others, in last year's draft. To a degree, I understand him not playing much, as OV and Shelby were playing very well, and he did not have NFL strength.

However, this year there are no reasons or excuses for Jordan, and our coaches getting him on the field.

Jordan has a very rare skill set with his size, speed, athleticism, and strength. This offseason will help him a lot.
His shoulder injury last season limited his offseason workouts and ability to add strength.

I think he has the ability to be a 10+ sacks a year kind of guy. I hope he can put in the work and prove that on the field.

Anyone who watched games last year, saw that Jordan's skill set was much better than OV, Shelby, and Wheeler but, he was not physically ready to beat those players out. That should be over or, we have a problem.

I sure hope he is right. Hard to tell much from the first year when he was dinged up to start out and never really found a nitch, but the tools are definitely there. I have to be honest, there is just something about him that puts off a negative vibe to me. I know NOTHING about him, have no friends that know anything about him, and never talked to him or seen him in person, but what little I have seen and when I have heard him, he makes me uneasy for some reason. I'm sure all that will go away when he bust out with 15 sacks this year, and again I can't put my finger on exactly what it is about him that makes me feel that way.

Maybe it is just that Ireland drafted him which seems to instantly make him a long shot to work out in the NFL. :idk:

I swear if these idiots in the FO decide to get cute and trade him.......

i must be missing the boat on this guy. what exacty did he show that gets everyones panties nice and moist??? was it a pass rush, cause i didnt see any moves whatsoever other than a speed rush to the outside that rarely worked. his coverage skills, i seen him cover gronkowski a few times but if he was so good ad it why didnt he do that more when it was a blatantly obvious weakness on this defense ?? i hope the kid has 15 sacks next year but i just dont understand why so many of you talk like thats a forgone conclusion.
