Miami was the better team yesterday. He was going on to say some fairly complimentary things about MIA, but, was cut off by the national feed.

anyone who watched the game knows miami lost it more then the jets won it.

My distaste for ESPN grows each day. The only reporter that I can stomach is Wilbon. I read his columns in the Washington Post often. He is very insightful and actually makes sure he doesn't shoot from the hip as most of them do.

Even Keyshawn Johnson gave the Dolphins compliments, maybe because of his relationship with Parcells. Anyone else notice that when ESPN shows the game highlights they show neither of our TD's? Only Favre. I am really tired of hearing about Favre. I wonder if he has ownership in the mothership (ESPN)?

I heard they were renaming ESPN to FAVRE. They figured one extra letter isn't that big of a deal

I completely disagree. Miami was lucky to be in that game at the end. Sure the Jets had some luck too, but they had more big plays and their defense and running game were much better then ours. I just hope we see changes I don't care if we lose to the Cards as long as the things we did badly get better. Then week three they get better and so on.

Just reporting back what I heard man.

the only problem with our team was that we came out flat and needed time to get into rhytmn, look at the 3rd and 4th quarter, our team dominated that game

our problem last year was to finish games and sunday wasn't the case, this is a new team and it took time to bring it all together and it's pretty understandable, i was surprised and happy to see them stepping up a notch each drive during the game....

if we can get a good start against zona i'm pretty confident we'll beat them

From what I saw (and it's limited) I agree with you dude...

The only reason we were in the game or had any success was because the Jets started playing a prevent and when that happens, it's a design that's made for offensive success. It doesn't prevent anything except preventing the defense from stopping the offense. I think Chad played well, but he should have, he's a veteran QB that's been in that situation many times before. I am not taking any of the positive away from the Dolphins, just pointing out that we were losing by 13 for most of the second half and we should have been down by more. We did have a little luck of our own.

I love this team but we are not a good team right now. That said it doesn't mean by seasons end we can't be. This is where I want to see the difference in being a good team and bad team. If we imporve week to week stedily and end the season out of the playoffs...BUT, a team no one wants to play! Then I'll consider this season a success and we'll be a good team. Till that stuff happens we are , what we are.

Feelthepain is right about this....

We were up 20-7 with 5 min left in the 4th. We were completely dominating on both sides of the ball. Our defense started to go away from the rush for some stupid reason and started playing prevent defense. It gave pennington the short and intermediate routes, which he excels at, and was able to bring Miami into a winning situation.

Bottomline is though, we won. We were the better team for 3 1/2 quarters and won. End of story.

Tsk. We are a rookie 1-15 team get over yourself. You are a win now team that might make it to the playoffs. Low chance, but you can. FTP and you give no credit to a new team. Have more class, but congrats on the win.
