You might have read I called for Gibril Wilson's benching in the previous post. It's not going to happen, according to a team source who thinks I'm a dork for suggesting it.

I guess the Dolphins will continue to watch hidden yardage pile up if Wilson continues to miss tackles. I assume Wilson has been told to try to tackle guys low rather than have bigger, better players plow him en route to the end zone.:confused:

All offseason I heard how great Gibril was, how he was better than Rhodes, etc... We are only 2 games in. he's playing on a new D(for the 3rd straight year). Give the guy a chance to prove himself.

No way he is in Rhodes league.
It would be one thing if he was missing assignments but its not that so much its the missed tackles..

They have a lot of money in this guy, he's also in a new system and it's not like we have a better option a safety, if we did he would be starting. Besides he was also paying a different safety in oakland. Give it time i'm sure he'll improve.

Why do people keep giving this silly excuse for Wilson ?? He played in the same system for years on the Giants. And he played FS for the Giants, for years.

Give it up with the excuses trying to say he is really a SS moving to FS and this is a new system for him.. Neither of those things are true. He has a lot more NFL experience at FS than he does at SS.

one measly year in Oakland playing SS doesn't change that. He always was a FS first and foremost.

Yeah I agree. Dallas Clark isn't an easy matchup for any safety. Let's give Gibril a chance to prove himself. Chris Clemons is waiting in the wings...

Even Al Davis didn't think he was worthy in his cast of clowns. Sure hope he improves his performance.

I brought that up in the offseason and I was told al doesn't know what he is doing, I also brought up that the Giants didn't want him back even though they needed secondary help. I have always though he wasn't as good as his #s suggest but I was told how good he was all offseason so if people believe that then you need to give him more than 2 games to show it.

To be honest i never follwed his career. I know in a Dolphin uniform he hasn't played well. He better start showing it. I'm sure if he played on the Jets your message board would be off the hook with words of encouragement for him.

Fans are the same everywhere, we'd be roasting him too and I'd be saying the same things for people to calm down.
