Gailey's history with the running game and running backs in the pros is tremendous. Jerome Bettis's revival after he came to the Steelers from the Rams, Emmitt Smith going for almost 1400 yards both years under Gailey after he had started to slip in '96 and '97, Lamar Smith here in 2000 and 2001. Gailey could just be what Brown needs to take his game to the next level that everyone is still hoping he can take it to.

I have a feeling that with Gailey at the helm, a returning Ricky Williams, and Hudson Houck (who worked w/ Gailey before in Dallas) coaching the o-line, the '07 team could boast one of the best Dolphins rushing offenses ever.

What's this? Positive words about Chan Gailey? On Finheaven? I'm amazed! I'm also in total agreement. I've really warmed up to Chan Gailey. Out of the three remaining candidates, he's likely the best pick.

He also could be the best thing for Chris Chambers. As a rookie, Chris Chambers caught 48 passes in Chan's offense and averaged 18.4 yards per reception. That's 3.5 yards more per reception than Chris has averaged in any of his subsequent years in Norv's offense and in Scott Linehan's offense.

Chan Gailey lined Chris Chambers up in the slot and moved him around more than any other coach has. If Derek Hagan progresses enough to become an outside threat or if the Dolphins decide to draft Teddy Ginn Jr., then you could see Gailey (if he gets the job) put Chambers back into the slot more often. Of course, this will likely decrease Wes Welker's playing time within the offense as he is strictly a slot receiver.

Does Chan Gailey sell Dolphins tix...???

Nope....Been there done that and it wasn`t much good the first time around either.....He is NOT even a good College Coach...

That's what I DO like about Chan. Is his commitment to the run. Now, if we had a stud QB, which we may or may not then I could see us pass alot more. But our strength is our running game. Hopefully we pick a coach that will keep that in mind. Mularkey was supposedly a "run" guy but he was anything but.

I agree, Ronnie and Ricky would benefit from him being here.

We shall just have to see by WED who will coach the FINS

You'll want to read this and this. Also this.

Wow, I really didn't know about all that. I never thought he was a bad OC or coach, I just didn't think he was all that successful. Sounds like he makes the best of whatever situation he's in. I like that. CK made one hell of an argument. If Gailey is one of the finalists, it sounds like our front office are handling things better than most of us thought.

Gailey does seem like the best choice for us. Even more so since he has experience with both sides of the ball.

I like the idea of Chan Gailey, also I like Brian Schottenheimer, just say no to Jim Mora Jr. thankfully, there's a 75% chance that we won't be hiring him since we have 3 other finalists

Gailey would probably be the best option for getting the most out of Culpepper too.

And I tell you what, he got the #8 scoring offense in the league out of an attrocious offensive line that had Spencer Folau blocking the blindside.

We NEED a great left tackle, in a hurry...but unlike Mularkey, Gailey shows a proper understanding of how to deal with not having good line play and still come up with something respectable on offense.

He is NOT even a good College Coach...

He's taken Georgia Tech to bowl games in 5 straight years for the first time in their history. I'm not saying that makes him Bear Bryant or anything, but I'd say that's good.
