Watching ESPN, and they said that the NFL is immune to overexposure in part because of betting on games and Fantasy Football, with casual fans watching their teams and others because of betting on them, and watching how their Fantasy team is doing.

For me, I mostly agree with that. Other than watching the Dolphins, which I always bet something on anyhow, I don't have much interest on watching other team (aside from great match ups) unless I bet the game. I never played Fantasy and cannot say on that part.

Your thoughts?

I gave up fantasy (boring) and I don't bet. The NFL is not immune to over exposure for the same reason's that many real fans don't watch BSPN and SoapOperaCenter for their overkill.

I've been an avid FF player for the better part of two decades, and have had access to DirecTV since college in the late 90's - I watch WAY too much football, on average I watch part of every game on Sundays every week, every minute of every primetime game every week, and of course I watch the entire fins games each week - I follow major players on every single team, which is why I don't get dazzled by some of the FA's that folks often go crazy for because a year end stat line often doesn't tell much of the story.

I've been toying with the idea of playing in a much higher stakes fantasy league, the ones that typically contain tons of participants and are hosted in places like Vegas, considering the amount of time and energy I invest in it I probably should.

I honestly feel like I have a million dollars bet, on every Fins game I watch. It's that intense sometimes

People said the same thing when they introduced Monday Night Football, and Thursday Night Football, and Sunday Night Football, and when NFL Network debuted, and on and on. Somehow they keep crushing it in the ratings.

It's a trip that Mark Cuban started this whole dumb**** debate though given he owns a team that plays 82 games in a season and has personally starred in multiple reality TV shows and a goddamn jeans commercial. **** off, Mark Cuban.
