RG3 5 3.5 years

I'm not a Tanne basher but these stats are pretty bad. Out of just the 2012 draft class Tannehill is dead last if you take into account that Cousins has not been the starters the whole time. Geno Smith has 2 more than Tannehill with one less year to do it in. Even butt fumble had 12 in 5.5 years. Of course there are other things to consider but it is clear that Tannehill is a pretty poor performer in the 4th quarter thus far in his career. Hope he steps up with a better oline in the future.

qb in year 4 with an extension of $45M guaranteed. Tannenbaum didn't see this stat when he asked Ross to sign the check

The qb gets too much credit for a team game. Randall Cobb was wide open yesterday and rodgers choked on the play. He must suck but iirc he was running for his life on that play. He should have blocked better for himself.

John Skelton has 7. That is not a typo people. I repeat, in 2.5 years John Skelton has 7.

There is always more to any stat than meets the eye.....but these stats are very bad for Tannehill..very bad

Tannehill is a rhythm passer. Get him a legit online and he will perform. He may not he a top 5 but he will be good enough to win. Fox let Hughes get to Tannehill the entire second half and get him out of rhythm.

He's probably first in the number of times the D has let the other team immediately score again after our Offense scores.

Well that's your opinion and it is possible but this thread is showing facts that can't be disputed. I hope your opinion becomes fact in a couple of years.

The problem with those stats are it only tells the outcome and doesn't describe situational football scenarios

If anything you're proving that game-winning drives are fool's gold to a point. John Skelton? Mark Sanchez? Griffin? Cousins? Kaepernick? None of those QBs are franchise QBs.

Yup....doesn't surprise me. This is something that definitely has to improve.

I still like him as our QB though.

It would also be interesting to know how many of those 5 game under Lazor vs. Sherman.

Also, I'm surprised by how low Newton's number is for his 5.5 years in the league. Interesting.....Thanks for posting.

Edit: I looked it up. 4 out of those 5 game winning drives came under Sherman. Only 1 under Lazor.

Edit II: If you click on the "view GWD" link to the right of the names, you can also see how many 4th quarter comebacks each QB had. It is an interesting read as RT has 8......while Kaep has 8 and Geno has 3......you can look up the others.....tells a bit of a different story.

Take it a step further. How many did Marino have and yet how many superbowls did we get?

There are many stats that are bad for Tannehill...

3rd down percentage
4th quarter
game winning drives...

yeah, when the play is up to him in critical situation he folds...

Exactly....they are not franchise QB's.....and still they are all better in the 4th than Tannehill

How can they be better when Skelton is washing cars at the local YMCA, Sanchez and Kaep are backups, Griffin isn't even active, and Cousins is on a team equally as ****ty?
