I will be going to the Saints game in two weeks, and I wanted to ask the locals who have been to the games this year about some of the new "features" the stadium has. I am aware they added a tailgate stage where bands perform before the game. I know Carmit Bachar performed before the Bills game and I just got an e-mail that American Idol winner Kris Allen is performing at the stage before the Saints game.
Plus, there is the whole "orange carpet" thing. I know all these things are gimmicky, but only getting down to Miami once a year, I want to take it all in.
So, my questions are as follows:
1. Is the Land Shark Tailgate stage available to everyone, or is it in one of those VIP sections that only people who pay extra or get special invites can go to?
2. How long before the start of the game do they do the music events at the Tailgate stage? Do I need to show up hours in advance?
3. What is the best way to see the orange carpet? Do you need to show up early and line up against a fence? Also, when does this take place?
