Garner # 75, Alleman # 57, London # 17

i remember we were pretty high on Andy Alleman when he was in the draft...i wonder why he got cut, I guess he didnt live up to his potential. Wasnt he a 3rd round choice???

I hope Garner can do something because #75 is my number for High School football and it would be cool if I could finally find a good player with my #. Of course though i want every Phin to be good but this one especially =)

Yes Alleman was a 3rd round pick of the Saints in 2007 and Garner was a 7th rounder of the Jets this year

I think the Dolphins will lead the league in Wide Receivers wearing a jersey number in the teens.

19: Ginn
18: Wilford
17: London
15: Bess
11: Armstrong (If he stays on practice squad)

I wonder what the deal is with that trend. Ginn wears a number in the teens and everyone else follows.

Jayson Foster is on the practice squad and he wears #14.

Well I think Wilford has had #18 for a while, and Bess might have worn #15 in college.

Wasn't Dwight Stephenson #57? I wonder how that number is still available? I know the Fins have the Ring of Honor, but I do feel if a player makes it all the way to the HOF, then that number should be retired officially (as opposed to "unofficially" retiring a number such as Dan Marino's 13).

It's been the cool thing ever since Keyshawn came into the league with #19. I think it looks good though.. alot better than the 80 somethings. I remember Reggie Bush tried to keep #5, but the No Fun League wouldnt allow it. Miami doesnt have much 'teen numbers left. Bob Griese (#12) Dan Marino/Jake Scott (#13). Plus the 6 on the roster now with 'teens. Actually.. only #16 is left. Ironically, that would've been taken if we kept Dave Rayner.

Has anyone looked at the pictures on the site? Garner and Alleman look exactly alike except Alleman has a beard and Garner has glasses.

Huh? 13 was officially retired. And if we retired every number of a player that makes it into the Hall of Fame, we wouldn't have enough in a few years. There are 80 players in camp at the beginning, remember.

Anyone think we have any plans on using Halterman, Perry and Smith for next year or do we just have to keep them as "ours" since they're injured and then they're long gone next season?

Perry and Smith maybe, Haltermann no.

The only numbers we have retired are 12 (Griese), 13 (Marino), and 39 (Csonka).

I might send a personal letter trying to convince Kendall to lose #70 and grab 93. Why it has not already been done is beyond me.
