With Jay Ajayi sidelined for a few practices due to a bone bruise in his knee, Arian Foster is clearly the Miami Dolphins' top back the next several training camp workouts. To hear coach Adam Gase tell it, Foster could remain as the team's No. 1 back well into the season.

"(Foster) is going to be working with the ones the whole training camp," Gase said, via the Miami Herald. "His resume speaks for itself. I don't think there's any question why we brought him in here. He's playing this year. Whether he's the guy that will be the first snap of the game, time will tell. He is going to be rolling with the ones."

This is all kind of surprising. I really thought he was done. I thought he would retire, now all the sudden he's a phin, and not only that, our starting tailback. Its probably just because they know his career is coming to an end, but since he looks good out there ride him till the wheel fall off and keep Ajayi fresher. I am excited, but there is a part of me that's wondering about ajayis knee. They said bone bruise, no big deal, then the next day its "Arians running with the ones pretty much all year." doesn't seem, like Ajayis bone bruise is nothing to worry about to me.

How's Foster's blocking? Might be nice having a veteran back there at times for a change.

Need him and Ajayi to stay healthy in order for the offense to remain successful. Foster has his chance now.

a little surprising to me as well...I don't think anyone believed Arian would sign in July and take the #1 spot on the depth chart...part of me doesn't want to read too deep into this, as Gase clearly said whether he is the starter remains to be seen...but still surprising...I imagine him and Jay splitting carries, much like Denver did with CJ Montee and Ronnie in 2014...as long as theyre both healthy and we dont have to rely on Williams/Thomas

Is Drake injured? Is he not our 3r RB? Please god, do not let Daniel Thomas get on that field.

I'm pretty sure Drake did get hurt.
I just hope that the Drake I saw on film can eventually make the field for the Dolphins. He's a 3rd round pick for a reason.

Daniel Thomas > Damien Williams

Agreed, but we didn't give up a pick for him so the forum isn't as butt hurt. Even though the guys reports out of shape in what any RB should have considered a very opportunistic year in Miami. Still we didn't give up a precious draft pick and nobody missed out on the guys we "should have taken" so nobody is butt hurt over Damiem Williams stealing snaps and doing nothing.

I guess they've seen enough of Foster to determine he's the best back on the roster.
