Gase Calls Gore "the Last Person I Will Ever Doubt"

Was just watching the day 2 presser and Gase seemed very pleased with Gore and what he's bringing to the RB room.

He said he was with Gore 10 years ago and that Gore looks basically the same and that he's not paying attention to Gore's age anymore because the guy somehow still has it.

Thought that was a cool tidbit.

I definitely think we'll see a lot of Drake if he stays healthy throughout the season but don't doubt Gore either.

Gore could see 100+ carries this year.

Given the choice between Damien Williams and future HOFer Gore let's just say I'm extremely happy with our #2 back.

Our last effective duo was 2010 Ricky & Ronnie or as I call them Williams & Brown.

That was a good duo, if Gore can duplicate 33 year old Ricky's success I'll be extremely happy. If Drake can be like 2010 Brown but a lot better in every way I'll be even happier.

Of all the solid players the U has produced, this is the guy I wished Miami would have drafted and kept throughout his career.

I don’t think people realize that Gore could of potentially been looked at as a top 3 RB of all time if he didn’t have 2 knee injuries that zapped his top end speed. Also he played on those early Alex Smith 49ers teams that just weren’t very good.

His vision is unlike anything we have seen here. Work ethic, pass protection, pass catching ability . . . He is the complete package . . . He just doesn’t have the speed anymore so as good as his vision is, if the holes aren’t there or are slim, the burst needed to explode through them isn’t there consistently like it once was.

But he is a special dude . . . It really was a great pickup for the Dolphins. My favorite of the off-season (Also doesn’t hurt that he is a Cane).

You don't need top end speed to pierce through a gap. Gore could have tripped into 4 yard gains all day. We need to see how the new OL is going to play.
