Alright my fellow dolfans I don't usually have alot of time to post here but I just did find the time to express my favorite sports team feelings...
Adam Gase, I don't think he is bad coach, I don't think he should be fired even if we end up with a .500 or less record. He is a young coach and he took a team from the worst coach we ever had.. Joe Philbin.
I believe in Adam, I think he is doing good things and he is a very good play caller. Now the problem on our playcalling is the execution, meaning it all falls on guy under center. Look at Jon Gruden the dude is 1-4 and he is like worshipped over there in Oak town. Adam should get at least another season regardless of results. Gase is trying to instill his culture and it takes time, we have shown potential to win games and play very well on both sides. The only thing about Adam however that really gets me, it's the man shows absolutely ZERO enthusiasm, and a coach's energy is very influential on a team's performance. Bill Belichich even taps his players on the head and has a good personality and players might like him behind the scenes, I'm not sure that is Adam's case tho, to me it seems like his players don't enjoy playing for him and with that said your never going to get 110% out of everybody. Look at Sean McVay a players coach... his team loves playing for him. You guys remember the temporary plug we had in Dan Campbell, we'll the man might not be a X & O genius like maybe Gase might be but man just on his energy and enthusiasm boy did we ball out in those first two games of his as coach, the team was loose and you can see the swag all over the place until the X & O factors kicked in. Bottom line is Adam's personality might not be one for a head coach, but he sure does know how to draw plays. I'd give him the remainder of this season and 2019 to make an impact the Miami Dolphins are back, if not back to looking a new head coach which rebuilding again.
Ryan Tannehill, I called him a bust the first 3 years, then afterwards I'm like he definitely doesn't suck and not a bust because he broke out and got better plus the dude is tough as nails can't take that away from him. My only concern with Ryan is something I be yelling at my TV when the team is playing "RYAN, WTF ARE YOU DOING MAN!!!!!?" I swear to god, Ryan is pretty horrible at feeling the pocket pressure, he has a very mediocre feel for the pocket and when it is shrinking. Have you guys not seen Ryan step up and make a play, that's where I'm like I believe in Ryan. But I'm done with that, I'm done believing in Tannehill, the man has almost ZERO pocket awareness. Do you guys remember back when we started the season with "SAFETIES" in four straight games from our offense back in 16' or even last season? I can't remember which season but that was absolutely absurd and we can thank Ryan for that. Ryan is not innacurate he throws good balls and his deep ball is not as crappy as it used to be, however pocket presense is Tannehill's fatal flaw and I gave up on him fixing it. He just doesn't have the complete skill set to lead a NFL franchise deep to the playoffs, I don't see it in him. If you guys look around the league, look at how QB's extend the play by navigating the pocket or stepping up, Ryan can barely ever do it and that is his fatal flaw and he is the man that might cost Adam Gase his job. We need to be on the QB search after the season I don't care for Ryan anymore sorry.
Kiko Alonso, I really like the guy and he is also an hispanic american so you know I'm rooting for the man. He is a superb team player plays very hard and leaves his all on the field. A player you'd love to have on your team but he is a 4-3 LB because even tho all the great intangibles he has, his skill set is limited and he sometimes like many times becomes a liability for us. I don't want him gone but he can't be on the bench if he's cap hit is too much. Teams have exposed Alonso many times.
Devante Parker, this dude has inmense talent, size and speed... but what the hell why is it he barely gets the ball, is he a deep route decoy or he just can't get open? I say we trade him get something in return before his rookie contract is up. He ain't done **** for us but for a game or three, and that's stretching it.
Oline, please somebody take Sam Young off that line. I know our starters are injured but man good football teams find a resolve. Tom Brady I've always though plays with late round lineman or undrafted lineman, and yes great coaching always plays a big part in player performance. If nobody is coaching our starters good what can we expect from the backups!? So a backup line shouldn't be an excuse and should be able to hold up the dline rush for a second or two so Ryan can make a play around the pocket, but Ryan lack's in that department too, so it's just a great combination for allowing sacks and turnovers for 60 minutes. I'll blame the personnel in charge of coaching the line rather than the players. But Sam Young is traaaash!
Defense, I think our secondary is very nice, our LB core can be very talented but Alonso has to be replaced. Our Dline ain't **** except for Wake, Quinn, Godcheaux & Hayes, which unfortuantely ogt injured. I think our young 2nd and 3rd level defense is the future. McCain is a baller, Howard is dangerous if he touches the ball and Minkah is going to be a top safety in the league very soon.
I love my Dolphins but we just haven't had a good team since the 84 Dolphins and even with the GOAT under center we still never did anything!!!! Quite frankly as I was speaking with my dad, Marino's Dolphins we're awesome because of Dan but we we're never really a good team to contend for the Super Bowl. The real era of Miami Dolphins excellence was in the 70's, and quite frankly we haven't been any good since then. almost 5 decades ago! That is absurd. Hopefully we can lift a Lombardi Trophy before we young cats start getting gray hairs and ****. Will bleed Aqua & Orange forever tho, even through the bad like the 1-15 season and through the good? lol. # GO DOLPHINS #1 =P
