I've seen comments from players that Gase like to talk trash and here is an article describing it a little more. Say what you want about our HC being inexperienced but you can already tell his players are going to respect and ball out for him.

Byron Maxwell has been one of the targets of Adam Gase’s trash talk. and he seems to be enjoying it. “We do a lot of trash talking out there, but it’s all good,” Maxwell said. “It’s fun. That’s when you’re competing. When you’re trash-talking me, I’m like I can’t let (DeVante) Parker beat me because I’m going to hear Gase all in my ear. Like really. That’s one of the things you talk about competing and everything, it’s fun out there. He gets me going.”

I hope Byron Maxwell shows up this year for us. A lot of this team's hopes rest on him proving that he is a number 1 corner and that he struggled last year in Philly because of their system. If he does not improve this year, when he is in the ideal scheme, we may have a problem in paying him.

maybe he can get RT to more than trash talk with the practice squad and their checks

So now you mean to tell me the QB shouldn't get mad/upset/call out practice squad players who are intercepting balls during an offensive walk through where they are working on timing? Because based on everything you have said in the past about Tannehill needing to be more of a leader, that is exactly the type of **** he should be doing.

Oh, and lets now forget where the tidbit came from, Miko and Omar, you know the two media attention whore's. Without their dumbasses the story would never had seen the light of day. A story that, need I remind you, the players laughed off.

So please go ahead with your uninformed, biased Tannehill agenda because it's comic gold. It's to bad I won't be able to read it during the season, after you slink away, when people actually see how he can perform with decent G play and a much improved scheme.

Just for some advice, why don't you go do some research and see how Tannehill performs in games where he received decent, not even great, protection. It might actually make you believe your username.

when did I say he wasn't a leader? I did say he needs to be elite and may lack the fundamentals to be elite, like footwork and mechanics. Am I hoping that he does improve? Sure. To me he has been mediocre, even worse against the division. He has to improve exponentially, and it isn't about stats, it's about having his signature game and performing in the 4th. Many front office personnel and coaches have been fired because of him. He is down to his last set of assistance, because like Philbin, Ireland, Sherman and Lazor, Tannehill ruined their careers. However, Gase won't let RT do this to him, he has plenty of football left to coach

the last part of this about philbin, Ireland, Sherman and lazor is 100% comical.

Your goddamn right it is. Ireland's inability to put together a decent roster was the reason he was fired...for the coaching staffs, their inability to formulate a game plan and adjust to what defenses were doing to stop the offense was the reason they were fired.

...and I don't think that people realize Tannehill will probably never have the greatest pocket awareness. Feeling pressure or someone on your blind side is an instinct and normally very hard to teach. It will probably be the last straw the Tannehill detractors hang on to.

I hope he can prove me wrong. But after 4 years, and seeing how elite qb's took a lot less time to develop, I begin to wonder what can happen from year 5 on. Dalton seemed to have taken the next step, until injured. But you look at RT on the field and between footwork, decision making and awareness, you wonder if it will ever happen. Gase has worked very well with his last two qb's, so I am hoping he can with RT. If RT isn't elite, it will be time to get a new qb

Yup, Philbin, Ireland, Sherman and Lazor were all so good, teams couldn't wait to hire them..

Where are all these elite QB's you speak of? Is it really that easy that we can just go out and get one if we are not satisfied with Ryan? Cool. Good to know.

if Ryan isn't elite, yes you go out and try to get one. Phily get it, they have three, hoping one turns out to be the man. In this league you have to have an elite qb to consistently win. Isnt that what we want? the issue is you all are too young to remember Marino

I'm not

Also Marino never won a thing, didnt win double digit games every year either, so should Miami if gotten rid of him?

there's more to a team than a QB, even in this modern day of football, if that wasn't the case Rodgers and Brady would win every year.. They don't...

hey man i just wanna say that in every thread, for example this one with absolutely no mention of rt, it's obnoxious for you to hammer the same drum and immediately revert to a bash rt mode. it doesn't bother me personally, but it takes away from the thread, and the discussion as it was meant to be had....

please keep that in mind. there is literally an QB ranking thread going on at this very moment, it lures RT bashing and discussion like a pile of **** lures flies....

So "try" and "hope" is the philosophy? Until that time maybe we should hedge our bets and find someone who can actually help a pretty darn good QB get better instead of surrounding him with incompetence for the 5th straight year. That would be a good start. He's here for two more years regardless.

Your version of "elite" and mine must really differ because I only see about 2 or 3 elite QB's in the NFL. The next group is pretty good but they don't make their teams win consistently and they're not that far off from Tannehill.

And for the record, I graduated HS the same year Marino was drafted. How about you?

Marino BTW, was elite and he produced only 8 seasons over .500 out of 17. Is that what you consider "winning consistently"?
