Immediately and quit micro managing this team. He is obviously not getting it done and a big reason why the offense is stalled. That's a start to fixing this mess.

He is just a placeholder. This is Gase's offense and he calls every play. Christensen actually has a history as an effective play caller and would like to see what he can do. We will see if Gase thinks he is part of the problem by removing himself from the equation and actually coaching the entire team. Only two or three coaches in the league still call their own plays, and they are not teams that are playoff bound.

Pounding Ajayi against a jets 10 man front all day.
Going wildcat vs a jets 10 man front.
Going 5 wide on 1st and goal at the 4 with Ajayi on the bench.
Going shotgun on 4th and 1.
Using Cutler on a zone read and having him actually keeping the ball.
All of this is a complete joke in the NFL.
There's more to this disaster, but you get the gist.

When was the last time he was a play caller? With Manning, peyton clearly ran the show. Clyde is more an offensive assistant than an OC. Crazy for people to call for him to be cut / Gase to stop calling plays. How do you some of you not realize this is entirely about Cutler and his ability out there on the field. Asinine.

Though I agree with the sentiment(that guys needs to oversee whole not get bogged down with details) I do not believe that Christensen ever called plays. He was more of a Philbin-type OC.

If this is truly the issue (not sure how to diagnosis the problem), then I'm up for letting Rizzi or anyone else to call the plays. It can't get worse, except for being a turnover machine?

so make a guy call plays that he hasn't called plays for maybe like 5-10 years? hmmm

Christensen is exactly what Philbin was a good game plan person but never anyone to count on @ game day.

I think its worth a shot, even if its just to kill the pattern of failure for a game or two. Gase may be in patterns hes not even aware of, or too deep in the weeds. Use everyone available just to get out of this funk.

****ing beautifully said! Gase is a sack of **** play caller and he needs to own up to the Cutler mistake. I’m even questioning his ability to evaluate talent. ****ing Philbin 2.0

I say they do an active online poll and let fans pick the plays based on the highest result ;-)

Christensen was only brought in to be a figurehead. He's a fine clipboard holder but an awful OC.

Gase needs to immediately stop calling plays. But he never will. Offense is his pet project. Unfortunately the defense becomes THEY and the offense WE.

Gase thinks he's Mike Martz or Scott Linehan. Unfortunately he's more Bill Lazor.
