This is my perception as well.Talk is cheap. It's easy to say to say we need to improve execution and play calling but another to actually change it. I have serious doubts that change will happen. Gase has pounded this square peg into a round hole since he's been here. He so badly wants us to be like his Broncos team but we aren't even close, we may even be less talented offensively than his bear's team. Gase's history of starting games out fast with innovative play calling is almost non existent, at least with the bears and Dolphins. His ability to make adjustments at halftime has been fairly good. However, You can't win with this roster and schedule playing only half of each game. So yes, the offense has been terrible, but will it ever change? My guess is we'll continue to run obscene amounts of wr screens, run on every 2nd and 10+, and throw tons of passes short of the sticks on Sunday. I hope I'm wrong and will eat a huge plate of crow if it actually happens.
How is Burke escaping this fire?
3 encroachments in a row.
He's a motivational speaker. I'll never trust that guy after promoting the wide nine, then playing prevent with his corners 10 yds. off the LOS. Probably why Timmons ran back to Pittsburgh. Probably why his corners look so frustrated. Probably why he started Verner over Tankersly.
But no, all I hear about Burke are fluff piece articles about gorillas and crapping on Chase Allen to make him a better player.
He'll be gone by season's end. He's just a token card to be dropped so Gase makes it through the season.
At this point with Gase it’s :”don't talk about it, be about it.” Yes you identified the problems now fix them. The talent on this offensive team alone should be enough to outscore the jets regardless of how bad the defense is.
Gase just don't understand that you need a Top 5 QB to run a screen pass effectively. His offence is similar to Lazors. So with that being said. Lazors offence was garbage. We need to hire a OC that calls plays. Gase is a good coach and I will stand behind that, but his playing calling is for a Top 5 QB and not going to work
I agree......and that's the problem, it should be a more balance attack. We have three dynamic WR's and we are more or less relying quite heavly on our ground game. Question is....is that a QB problem, an Oline problem, a coaching problem or lack of talent overall?Miami's identity IMO is still the run game. The line and Ajayi couldn't set the tone, which left Miami as a one dimensional offense.
