Gase, tannehill are tied at the hip

Gase actually gets agitated when he reads criticism of Tannehill. In a news conference Tuesday, he took a verbal jab at a reporter known for being anti-Tannehill when that reporter asked a question about Tannehill.

All well and good before his first camp as head coach begins.

Ultimately results and progress will determine if they have to seperate these "cojoined twins". I think Gase kind of gets a "flyer" year in 2016 . . . so he can ultimately decide if Ryan is the guy he wants to hitch his wagon to beyond this season.
 
Great news but what if Tannehill starts to really struggle? Like a Ray Lucas type of struggle?

I'd be willing to be bet Gase benches him if its necessary.

Gase strikes me as the type of person who won't make knee-jerk decisions. I think if Tannehill really struggles, Gase will give him an opportunity to fix it. If he can't, I don't think Gase will have a problem sitting him.
 
This week even, when the Los Angeles Rams (sorry St. Louis, but it is cool to be able to write that) cut quarterback Nick Foles, a contingent of Dolphins fans made the case that their team should sign the free agent to replace Tannehill.

Seemed obvious to me. The only way we're getting rid of one is if we get rid of both, and we won't be drafting a QB high until it happens, its a long shot but that could be as soon as next draft.

Yeah, uh, having seen both Ray Lucas play football, and Ryan Tannehill play football for four years, I'm going to go ahead and say, that is not going to be an issue.
 
That said, I'm glad that the head coach is being decisive and bold, rather than a wishy washy, passive aggressive, backstabbing weasel.
 
Case got 3 to 4 yr to be Miami coach...he got to make playoff at some point. or 9-7 If not he will be gone too.
