Gase positioned himself as a young wiz kid in contrast to the crusty clueless dinosaur Joe Philbin, but turns out they are practically the same coach.

  • Both got the gig based on their work with HOF QBs
  • Both fielded completely undisciplined teams which frequently were flagged for dumb stuff and blew up at inopportune times
  • Both seemed to have little control over their players and staff (Bullygate, Coke-snorting OL coaches)
  • Both shipped off talented players continuously because they couldn't personally get along with them
  • Both, despite their backgrounds with offense, continually dolled out OFFENSIVE offensive performances
  • Both were more glorified coordinators than head coaches - delegating numerous head coaching duties to their staff in order to focus more on one side of the ball
  • Both had teams that collapsed down the stretch with playoffs within their reach (0-3 Decembers while controlling their playoff destiny)
  • Both bug-eyed goofy looking bastards with dumbfounded looks on the sideline

The woeful performance in Buffalo should be the final nail in Gase's coffin.

Gase is Philbin 2.0, been saying it since he was hired. He is garbage and will never be a successful HC. Ross is a dumbass and will keep Gasy. Probably give him an extension

Philbin didn't even call plays as an OC with Green Bay.
Gase at least called plays in Denver but I'm pretty sure Manning called audibles at least 50% of the time.

I doubt Gase called plays for Manning. Gase was probably just asking Manning through the mic if he needed something to drink or a dry towel.

I know, but his work as "OC" with super-bowl winning Aaron Rodgers is what ultimately got him the gig... that and his binders of very organized bullshit which Ross ate up.

Nope. He's back next year.

No excuse for this monumental collapse in the last 3 must win games and 2 of which should have been winnable.

It's not all on the defense who have almost as many TDs as the offense the last 3 games so far.
