Yes, the defense was atrocious, but someone forgot to tell Gase that. Talk about being oblivious to game flow. It is like we have be down double digits before he opens up the playbook. It is quite clear that Gase's strategy at home is too call an ultra conservative game and just keep the game close until the 4th quarter when the opponent starts to wear down. This strategy has worked in the past. Today it clearly did not. This strategy ends up failing when your defense can not stop anything the entire game and so many drives are wasted early on. The defense from the start looked worn out, confused, out of place and, as usual, missed many tackles. That 3rd and 10 run call, especially on your opponents end of the field might have been the most gutless, cowardly play-call I have ever witnessed. He would not even attempt to let HIS offense make a play or at least take a chance and hope for a defensive penalty. Just unbelievable. The unfortunate thing is, the offense actually played decent when Gase would actually allow them to. Osweiler played as well as you could hope. Made some great throws. Again, when GASE allowed him to so. The only time Gase actually ever called an aggressive 60 min game was last year's MNF against NE. Remember how that turned out?

Gase plays it scared in the 1st half. I can understand it some with Osweiler at QB. However when your defense is playing like crap you need to be more agressive on offense since you know you are going to have to score a lot of points.

I think that Osweiler actually did a decent job today. I've heard that he has a weak arm, but when he did go deep today he was usually on the money or pretty close.

I think the first half offensive gameplanning and playcalling is a big problem.

With that said, the defense was downright putrid today. No chance to win with that kind of defensive performance. None.

Somebody forgot to tell Adam Gase that. When your defense can not stop anything, you might want to start calling an aggressive game. IT should not take nearly an entire half (as usual) to get the memo.

The offense has plenty of issues, but anyone who looks at this loss knows that the biggest problem was the fact that our defense didn't show up.

He was played ok but when your defense is playing horrible you need to take more chances on offense. Only 7 points in the first half in today's score happy NFL is inexcuable.

and the bears did not punt in the 2nd half last week. 6 qrtrs. 1 punt. 7tds 4 fgs

Wow, I knew it was bad but that’s got to be historically bad, which I saying something considering the lousy defenses we’ve had throughout In our past
