Competitive game thus far...

But these two defenses are pathetic. It's not just offensive athleticism either. Blown coverages, DB falling for every wr juke, and poor tackling.

Where do these teams rank as far as defense, coming into this game???
 
Great game. WVU made a huge comeback. Pat White is ridicliously good!!!!!!
 
We basically OWN both georiga teams, beating them both two years in a row

The scary thing is that they were both the final score. last year was 38-35 us in the sugar bowl. this year it was the same, but in the gator
 
I just got back from this game a little while ago.
It was a blast to watch.
I'm not sure if it was because GT was just at the same stadium a few weeks ago for the ACC Championship game, but they were sorely under represented. WVU had a great turnout, and they were loud as hell.

Taylor Bennett looked a heck of a lot better than Reggie Ball. He was pretty luck with some of his TD passes to Calvin Johnson, though. CJ is unreal; a true man amongst boys today.

I can't figure out why Chan Gailey stopped running. WVU finally made some stops in the 3rd, but their defense is horrible. GT was pushing them around most of the day. I guess Bennett's success with CJ tempted Gailey to pass more, but it back fired. It like WVU's D get off the field, and consequently, GT's defense got run down and then the WV play makers took over.

Who is # 8 for WVU? He is HORRIBLE! All three TD's by CJ could have been prevented by average play from a FS. He shaded to CJ's side all day, lining up at that side's hash mark. Even with that head start, he had the slowest breaks I've seen in quite some time. GT's QB was okay, but # 8 made him look great. He let CJ take one ball out of his hands for a TD, and he let Bennett hang two passes for TD's. Both should have been picked or at least tipped away.

Rich Rodriguez needs to beef up that DL. They're quick and can cause trouble behind the LOS, but they can also get man handled.

GT may have lost, but they impressed me. I was sure they'd get blown out, especially after that first WVU drive. But GT does play solid defense, and they showed up for most of the game. It wasn't until the 3rd, when GT's offense couldn't stay on the field, that GT's defense was taken advantage of.
 
Then again we didnt have the nations 2nd leading rusher in the game either...

#9 is quinton andrews, a freshman, and he sucks. so does vaughn rivers #19. We need to clean out our whole secondary and start new because they straight up suck

What did you think about pat white? and i fell alseep and i woke up with a touchdown thrown to tito gonzalez? but the line didnt move an inch. What did i miss?

I thought Pat White ran well, not as good as I've seen him previously though.
His passing was mediocre at best. He missed wide open guys throughout the first half. I don't mean didn't see them, I mean it looked like he was throwing with the wrong hand.

That TD pass was all Rich Rodriguez. WVU was supposed to get the ball to start the 2nd half, but GT kicked it onsides, recovered, and drove for a TD.

Then WV got it around the 35 or so. Huddle broke and two WR sprinted out left to line up, Schmitt (who's my favorite Mountie) just strolled over to the left looking like he was going off the field to the sideline. He lined up really far left, and GT only had two DB's to cover the three guys lined up wide. GT should have called a TO. WV took advantage of the confusion with White actually hitting his receiver, and they guy hauled ***.

I don't know about Rivers, but Andrews is about as bad as I've seen from a FS at that level. ZERO instincts, ZERO closing ability, ZERO ball skills.
 
Congrats to WVU! Big East still truckin' toward a 5 - 0 record in bowls!!

Yea, vaughn rivers, and quinton andrews both need there scholarships revoked. Because they plain suck
 
That's crazy!
I was literaly 10-15 rows up, to his (the pooper's) left. I don't know how I didn't see it.
I was sitting directly behind GT's band director, and her husband. She was down on the field at that time, but he was there. NONE of us noticed it.
There was a WV taken out in the 4th quarter, almost killed himself trying to walk up the stairs, but it wasn't that guy.

BTW, if you ever get the chance to sit next to the band, do it. That was a really fun experience.

EDIT: I was wrong. The guy we saw being escorted out by the cops was, in fact, the same guy. I sent the pics to my wife, and buddy that went to the game with us, and they swear it's the same guy!
 
Hold on a second, i've saw those pictures and read that article a million times. There is no evidence once so ever that he is a WVU fan. For all we know he could be a GT fan, we just assume he's a wvu fan because he dropped a deuce in the GT bands seats. I found it quite funny, sick but funny


and yes, i had a hangover from hell monday morning and found it very hard to stay awake. I dozed off for a few minutes than woke back up to my team winning the game

At LEAST 3/4 of the fans in attendance were for WV. And almost all the fans in that section were WV fans. Not to mention that the vast majority of GT fans get somewhat dressed up for their football games. There is no doubt he was a WV fan. That guy did it at half time. Everyone in the stadium knew that was the band's seats, and no fan would do that to his team's band.
