Ok, let's say they are honoring the undefeated 1994 Rose Bowl team and the Colts are in town and a healthy Kerry Collins is starting that game. Again, doubt there would be a uproar that causes Eagles fans to cancel season tickets and vow to never go to another Eagles game.
 
If the Dolphins were doing great and we were happy with the current management and coach I would still be against this because I'm a Canes fan but Nubs agrument would be more valid.

However under the current situation it is just piling on an already pissed off fan base.
How much more can they take ?
Embaressment , humiliation , stupid moves , rediculous gimmicks , and the team playing like ****.

Nubs made good points on this early on but now I would think he should reconsider the logic of this.

Anyways it is a distraction from SFL ... Actually Gator night is inviting hostile fans here to root for the QB of the other team to beat us so maybe it is SFL perpetrated by the Dolphin management.
 
Obviously it's the dumbest thing I've heard of, but I think it's a good idea to increase ticket sales. I mean there apparently is 100,000 gators alumni in the area. Assuming most of them are big Gator Football fans because it's the number 1 sport at that school, this could draw a significant number of them out to the game. Even though it's a ridiculous concept that we are honoring the opposing teams starting Quarterback.

and so far according to Nubs, only 2,000 have bought tickets.....so they can't even get Gayturd fans that are Dolphins fans to buy tickets to Dolphins games. And in the process you have pissed off a number of your loyal season ticket holders than also happen to be Hurricanes fans.

Dumbest promotion ever - PERIOD.
 
Ross and Dees are definitely clueless - but even a better adjective might be "tone-deaf" signing off on this, on the heels of all the blowback from selling jest gear in the team store and petitioning the league to offset our home team 1PM starting advantage. They need to start commissioning some market research focus groups, really.
 
Maybe another option: Dumb idea, but not a huge issue, more a minor symptom of the ineptitude of the FO. I'm kind of surprised Dees did this. He's the only bright spot in the organization, IMO (verdict is still out on Ross). I hope Ireland and Sparano aren't rubbing off on him.
 
Looks good to me, it is the only game of the year that I would go to if I could go to a game this year. Good deal it sounds like, a little more then cost of my seats. All you can eat and drink and you get to semi hang with some of the Gator National Champs.

I'm not only taping this on my DVR but on DVD and I'll put it on my HD.

If they could have just moved the game to the Swamp it would be prefect.

I could care less ... To me its just a Special Promo that they have for different groups at different games.

There's alot of gator Dolphins fans (I'm not one), so what's the big deal. That Tebow is starting is just a baby-mama drama fit for Springer & Oprah.

I think its kinda funny ... many are getting their Y-Chromosome thang going over this, big time!!

For all who don't like it ... look on the bright side ... Tebow running around, has a decent chance of getting smushed like a love-bug on a Florida Interstate.

Perfect example of the idiocy that this "sell tickets by any means necessary" mentality which this FO has brought upon us.

Oh its always us....never the Dolphins. Just because they have lost 14 of the last 17 home games & that it blows going to games you know are lost before they begin.....that shouldn't matter.
 
Most of us think is a ridiculous idea but it's happening anyways so here my question to you.

What will the fan reaction be whey they announce Tebow at half time ?

a. Polite acknowledgment of a talented player and friendy in state clapping for a respected advisary.

b. Thousands of celebrating Gator fans salute thier teams accomplishment and thier hiesman winning QB.

c. Pissed off Canes supporters and Dolphin fans mad about the certain situation make a statement for ESPN and boo like crazy to further humiliate Ross , Dee , Ireland and the rest.

What will happen ?

I think the Dolphin need our support(us Gators that is). Somehow, some cash needs to be brought in to cover the J-Lo/Marc Anthony divorce, another Skybox might be needed.

Sorry, but this is just too funny for me, I can't wait to see all the Orange and Blue fans. I wonder if one side of the Stadium will be Orange and the other Blue so we can do that cheer.

I wonder if they are running shuttles for parking.......
