If Ross fires Ireland after the 2012 season for whatever reason...who would you guys like our new GM to be? Would our own Brian Gaine be ok, or would you guys want somebody from outside brought in? I wouldn't mind Ross hiring Gaine to be our new GM and see how he can do.

I'd want someone Philbin was familiar with, someone from the Packers front office, like Russ Ball their VP of Football Administration and Player Finance, he was even with Kansas City in the 90s so him and Carl Peterson go way back. imagine how excited and hopeful our fan base would be had we brought in Ball along with Philbin...instead we have a promising head coach but a bafoon providing the groceries.

Right. Get someone from the Packers FO and bring in a retired Dolphin executive from the last time we won the super Bowl.

I don't really see the point in replacing Ireland with the guy that's been his right-hand man this whole time. If he's fired, clean house and move on.

Ireland is going to be a GM for a long time........ i'd prefer we give him a chance here. All you folks that are butthurt about Free Agency every year, and always looking for scapegoats, need to get a clue.

Ireland has brought in Dansby, Burnett, Bush, and Moore. This year I do not feel we really had a realistic shot at Manning and we did not overspend for Flynn or Smith. I would like to see them sign Jake Scott so our o line would not be a huge concern in the draft.

There's that asinine word again. The only thing I'm "butthurt" about is 3 ****ty losing seasons from a team built by a mediocre (at best) GM. If you are happy with the garbage moves and play of this team (they don't even qualify as mediocre at 6-10), fine, I'm happy for you. I wish I had lower standards too; I just prefer to see my teams winning. Perhaps you need to stop being so "butthurt" about other people having opinions that may not fall in line with yours just because they're not drinking the ****-flavored kool-aid every single year despite nothing but trash football being put on the field for the past decade. (and also stop using idiotic terms like "butthurt" every time you disagree with somebody)

There's your clue.

I really don't think Ireland is going anywhere and the writing is on the wall that Ross is going to back him and give him a chance to draft another qb. This team is better than people think and the real difference which is huge is not having a top or franchise qb. If we in fact draft Tannehill or even a qb in the 2nd rd than there's no doubt in my mind he's going to be given another 2 or 3 years minimum as our GM. I personally feel like he's been given a bad rap and it's all started from the 1 big mistake that he made from his pre-draft interview with Dez Bryant, and because of that now a few players have piled on and has been kicking him while he's down.

Post of the weekend! Well said bro.

What makes you think all of a sudden Ross will actually land somebody..... we will get the same story as always

I don't care that we didn't do anything in FA, but i do care that our GM hasn't placed getting us a Franchise QB at the top of his to do list concerning the team, and i also don't like that our GM seems to have made us a laughing stock around the league. I just haven't seen anything about Jeff Ireland as the General Manager of our Miami Dolphins that makes me want him around for the long term. I feel we can upgrade at GM.
