I dont know much about this guy, I am hoping some of you might know some more about him... but what I am impressed about is the fact that he is the director of their personnel. And take a look at the success the Ravens have had in the first round. The Fins have not had much success in round 1 and the Ravens have been amazing at it! Look at their 1st round picks over the last 10 years :

YEAR PK(OVR) NAME POS SCHOOL
2005 22(22) MARK CLAYTON WR OKLAHOMA
2003 10(10) TERRELL SUGGS DE ARIZONASTATE
2003 19(19) KYLE BOLLER QB CALIFORNIA
2002 24(24) EDWARD REED S MIAMI(FLA.)
2001 31(31) TODD HEAP TE ARIZONASTATE
2000 5(5) JAMAL LEWIS RB TENNESSEE
2000 10(10) TRAVIS TAYLOR WR FLORIDA
1999 10(10) CHRIS MCALISTER DB ARIZONA
1998 10(10) DUANE STARKS DB MIAMI(FLA.)
1997 4(4)PETER BOULWARE DE FLORIDA STATE
1996 4(4) JONATHON OGDEN OT UCLA
1996 26(26) RAY LEWIS LB MIAMI (FLA.)

Everyone of them have been absoulute studs except Travis Taylor and Boller and Starks. Starks was good in Baltimore and wasnt as good when he left but still... Look at the success!!! If we have success like that it would be a very beautiful thing!

Wow. That list is amazing. And here we've been for the past ten years not even having a first round pick half the time.

Sure does help pick great players when you pick 7 times in the top 10 and have 12 picks in the first round in 10 years dont you think??

Wasn't that Savage's role before he moved on to Cleveland?

Yes it was, I believe most of those except for this year were Savages picks..
.. and Clayton was a no brainer.
