i just bought a espn draft guide magazine i never heard about this guy but these stats dont seem right he is a CB Gerrick Mcphearson MAryland
195 pounds
5,10
40-4.27
42 inch vert
365 pund bench
515 squat
it says he is a 5th rounder but looks like if these are proven stats he could be a promisng project its says he is really strong and has good burst speed and also goes on to say leaping ability helps neutralize height mismacthes awesome stength wich helps him battle bigger Wr's. Tough and powerful around run and will hold the block aganist bigger ballcarriers
It says his negavites height knocks down some passes instead of intercepting it not the best recongtion skills and needs to imrpve footwork.:cooldude:

well it sounds like he wont last till the 7th and 4th would be to high for him.

id take him in the fifth.at md he did some stupid penalties but hes pretty good

The problem with McPhearson is that he is more of a track guy playing football rather than a football player who runs track. He holds the school record for the 60 meters at 6.37 and ran a 4.21 40 last spring for the coaches. I think he could be a star on special teams.

yea i agree he would be a good return specialist but if he has moves to go with that speed it would be even better

I didn't necessarily mean as a return specialist, I meant more as a gunner on punts and kickoffs.

we dont have a 5th guys. He is a good return guy, but we have two great return guys in Wes and Campbell

4th round wouldn't be a stretch for Mcpherson, if we drafted him there i think we would get some good value considering he has the measurables to be special. Working with a coach like saban would do wonders for this kid I wouldnt be sad if we took him in the 4th if we haven't drafted a CB on the first day.
