i hope he recovers fully and then we will see the true player he really is. i wish the best for joey, but when daunte is READY its his team.

He is the qb of the future unless Harrington comes in and leads us to a winning record and then that would be a whole different story.

I agree 100%. Joey needs to start untill Daunte is healed. Him being out there now is just risking further injury and possibly the rest of his career.

It would help Daunte if he lost a little more weight too.

he lost over 20 lbs already, thats why hes so dangerous because of his size speed and arm, all he needs is to get his speed back

Just playing Devil's Advocate here:

What happens if Joey plays very good for the rest of the year, the team rallies around him, and he leads the team to some big wins? Do you take the ball out of his hands?

i hate to say it, but Daunte cost us a 2ND ROUNDER, plus what...49 million?? i dont care how much he sucks now, he NEEDS to get better and be the QB of the Dolphins future.

I hate this thread rating. Nothing wrong with this thread but somehow it has a 1. Wow someone people just dont have anything better to do.

I said the same thing in a few posts up, and what if he comes up with a miracle and leads the Fins to the playoffs.

I see the quaterback thing going down like this. Joey plays the next say five or six games. He does good giveing him some value. Daunte comes backing five or six games and starts when he should have started this year, half way through the season in perfect health. When Daunte is compelely healthy, not this "Yea my knee feels good but i want to take it easy" bs. He gets sacked cuz he doesn't want to stress his knee. No doubting his knee, no sacks, more points. And at the end of this season, trade Joey for a lb or great offensive lineman and/or draft picks.

i hope daunte gets well, he is the future of the dolphins, but right now he is not where he needs to be

i just wish nick did this earlier in the year

This is the best thread I've seen in a while around here. Some postive Fin talk!!!:dolphins: Daunte is the future!!!!

i agree daunte is the future, when he was signed it was not to go out and win a super bowl immediately i mean it would be nice but that was not the goal we could of even gone with more experience with a guy like steve mcnair but we made the smart choice and choose the future....joey will fit in good for now while he is needed and daunte is resting but dont make the mistake to think that daunte is not our future
