Sine you decided to call someone else out, your lack of knowledge is glaring. I'll say it again, without an o-line to protect a QB, no matter how good he is, he's gonna suck. He's gonna get pounded and he's gonna get hurt. You can hide weaknesses with a good line. You can't without one. A bad line exposes weakness for all others to exploit.

Again, every NFL personnel man would agree with me that this is a QB driven league, if you don't know that you are wrong. No one said you didn't need Support personnel, but no single O-lineman is anywhere near as important as a QB, no other position is near as important as a QB.

We have no quarterback.....that is the point.

bottom line is i would have definitely taken a mark ingram like talent in the middle of round 1 over an interior olineman who looks like a better guard fit that we are gonna ask to play center...especially when he's gonna be the highest drafted interior oline prospect in the last 10 years...

but thats just me...and i'll argue it til the end of my days...good day to you reppin...

who knows...dez bryant went 24 to dallas last year...he was a MUCH better football player...these teams make mistakes all the time...maybe teams didn't need a rb...miami sure as hell did and they passed up the best one

anyways...if you think that chris ivory and pierre thomas are gonna do anything but get dropped on the depth chart with ingram in town you are nuts...
Its by committe. even is they do get dropped, Ingram will carry the rock 10-15 times a game. Hes also not a very gifted pass catcher.
Personally I think Pouncey was the correct pick. Farthest he would have dropped would have been 19. Id say our Value matched up a lot better than a guy picked 13 selections later. Im done with this discusion. The best played available got selected and guess what bruh, Hes a MIAMI DOLPHIN, so you better start supportin now or get off the bus.

Nice discussion bro, but get your own statistics next time. lol. Or at least throw out a parethetical citation or two.

seems they got this draft right by not drafting any of the career backups. and btw we took long over ryan...

Yes, and Parcells finally admitted his mistake in NOT drafting Ryan. You nor anyone else knows these guys are career backups or franchise QB's, so please stop with that kind of BS, I could say Pouncey will be a bust soft O-lineman....no one knows.

Thats your opinion pal, doesn't mean your right or wrong.

Some of us are tired of safe drafting and tired of this team not going out and getting a quarterback, passing on quarterbacks(Brees, Rodgers and Ryan) to take Jamar Fletchers, or runningbacks and O-lineman.

Right now the lack of finding a top QB is clearly the primary thing that has held this team back for the last 10 years or so.

Safe drafting ... are you serious? ROFL. I cannot stop. Have you forgotten Pat White? I would be ecstatic if they just start grading players objectively and stick to their board.

jeez...i'm not in the war rooms for gods sakes...maybe they think they can resign ahmad bradshaw...i don't know...maybe they felt amukamara filled a need...just wait on ingram...he's gonna tear the league up

2011 - 122 Car, 474 Yards, 3.9 Average, 5 Tds

Dang even DT had more yards as a rookie!!!!

buddy if i went back and bumped threads where down the road i was right on this board the whole first page of the main forum would be full of em and there'd be more posts showing it than you have total here...congrats you got one on me...for now...ingram is plenty talented he's caught in a numbers game in new orleans...but the first year results are what they are...

and pouncey was a terrific rookie...

I think the O-line gave Matt time most of the time. He did hold the ball an awful lot and with the new offense maybe we get rid of the ball alot quicker this year.

Seriously??? You come on a year later to dig up an old thread and take a shot at hooshoops for Ingram? When the entire point you were making was that Pouncey, a guy who we can all see now was totally over-drafted, was a great pick and worthy of his draft position.

Talk about a major fail!!! Reading through this thread I thought for sure at the end I would find someone ripping you a new one; instead, its you trying to get at him??? Weak...

i went back and read the thread...i was an angry son of a gun...can't help it...wear my emotions on my sleeve...pouncey did play very well...but like i said had he been lets say average that pick would have been bad value...he's not...he's high end pivot material imo...i still think he's better suited to play left guard where we can take more advantage of his movement skills etc but he's quite a talent...i was very impressed

mark ingrams better much better than those numbers suggest also...but we'll never get to see it cause of that dang new orleans rb system
