1) LT and WR should not be considered as first round pick options. We have to get some impact defenders unless Leinhart miraculously pops open this April. Miami has to take the best available LB, CB or DL with that first pick.

2) Anybody who says he's been watching Chambers drop balls before this year if full of crud. You're seeing things that you want to see. He's had a bad season, he's still never had a good QB throwing to him. If Sage starts getting him the ball a lot of people will be eating crow.

3) Omar Jacobs ain't gonna cut it. We can't take a 4th round QB or settle for another vet like Gus and take a third tier guy on Day 2 of the draft. Jim-Uh and Wannspiel killed this team by not drafting QB's before the 6th round. We can't do with castoffs like Fiddler, Drunkenmiller or Cade McNoplay anymore. They have to get the QB fixed by the end of April. There's probably 5 or 6 draftable QB's that have a chance to be players in a year or two.

Get real. An awesome LT would be amazing to the line. It will be very hard to pass one of them up.

It is time to have a focus on the Offense. LT would be great QB would be best. I would much rather have an exciting offense than Defense if I can't have it all. I am tired of watching a boring offense.

I don't have any problems with your point of view, but my post is not a response to that. I just want more of those witty nicknames. Keep 'em coming

The only reason we won't pick an elite college WR in the 1st round is because there are none. It has nothing to do with Chambers inconsistancy.

But in all seriousness, I agree that we need to find a legit QB. I'm tired of these "caretaker" QB's that we have been bringing in that do everything but take care of the ball or the team

besides QB i agree we need defensive players... our offense is young and growing... we dont need to replace anyone, they need to get comfortable in the system and they need a QB...

besides that we need younger defense, secondary help and linebacker depth is important... getting younger on the DL is a must too...

1)LT and QB are two positions where if you don't have one they must be considered in the 1st round. Statistically that's where you are most likely to find those positions.

2)CC has been inconsistent for years. You may see what you want to see, but it's not always somebody else's fault. The blame is on CC. Having said that I wouldn't consider a wr in the first. That is a position which is often filled by later rd picks.

3)I agree about Jacobs. He has too many questions to be considered a 1st rd pick. My guess is 3rd rd.

Your right on the money here.

It's also very important to shore up the OL as well.
Yes they've been playing better but a good LT is very important to a QB's success as well.

We've ignored both positions for way too long.

The last thing I want is for the coaching staff to narrow the search for a QB to only a "hybrid" type QB more known for his scrambling than actual QB skill simply because we don't have good enough players on the OL to protect a good QB.

That would be a mistake and a reason LT is still an important acquisition for us to make.

In the 1st rd you need the best available PLAY MAKER. Other than RB I"m not sure there is a position on this team that couldn't use a 1st rd play maker. Trust Saban to know who to pick. A #1 WR for our 1st rd pick would be great. In my opinion the ideal would be a #1 DB or safety because we need alot of help there probably more so than any other position than QB. I don't see any QB's available worthwhile when we will pick in the 1st. I don't see an OL guy qualifying as a play maker. I'd use a 2nd rd at the highest for an OL and only if we could steal someone at that spot.

Jacobs would be a BIG mistake in any round. So would Young who I heard is staying in school - very smart decision. These guys are pure college QB's only in my opinion.

Both LT and WR should be considered in the first round. It just depends on where we pick. If we're picking between 15-20. I'm sure Saban will be looking at Santonio Holmes. Picking before that is where we would get an LT.

Secondly, I don't know what games you are watching but Chambers has been inconsistant for years. He's just never been as inconsistant as he was on Sunday.

Jacobs would be a steal if he fell to the second day.

Wow you must only watch a couple games a year, CC has been inconsistent for the last 3 sorry.

Lt would maybe be our best option in the 1st round. there are more than likely three top prospects that will go first round and we will more than likely have a top 12 pick. LT would be awesome espicailly with Houck at OL coach

I would not concider LT a first round priority. We could definatly use one however I feel free agency is our best corse of action, unless of corse a Robert Gallery type prosbect comes up. I think everybody knows I am the President of the "Rivers to Miami Bandwaggon"; so lets just say we do not trade our first for him, I say we draft the best quarterback available

Chambers didn't get labeled as inconsistant 2 years ago by mistake.

I think what happens is that when we win the game most fans don't pay attention to the drops and bad routes, but the coaches grade every player on every play, whether we win or lose. I have noticed CC for more than the past 2 years. Last year alone he was the direct or indirect cause of a number of turnovers, not just dropped passes...

We will obviously need some corners and a safety, but a DT as well. Traylor needs to be replaced eventually if he doesn't retire this year...

I think Muellar has a proven track record. He will get the best guy available unless a stellar corner is there...
