Get rid of preseason

Reduce maybe, but not eliminate. Perfect time for unproven guys to show staff that they belong on the roster. No coach will be subbing in some unknown guy in a regular season game to see how well he plays. That's why preseason is important.

Get rid of all conditional rules, such as, "if you fumble forward, you must recover your own fumble if it's within the last 5 minutes of the 1st half or the last 2 minutes of the 2nd half". Admit the "tuck rule" was a farce. Stop asking coaches dumb questions as they run off at half time. Have a sniper take out kickers when the miss from 30 yards and in. Eliminate the "FIRST DOWN" celebration when a receiver catches one when his team is still losing by 30 in the 4th quarter. Make belly shirts illegal for LBs. Make numbers 40-49 illegal for LBs to wear. Eliminate the "instant replay brought to you by Microsoft Surface" in-your-face obnoxiousness - go back to the idiot looking under the hood like he's taking a photo in 1812 - in fact, since there are no refs, have the players huddle around and work it out themselves. Eliminate Gatorade cups unless there is actually Gatorade in there. G2 would count. Make the fins go back to their throwbacks permanently. Put a limit on how long a commissioner can have the job - 8 years max like the president. Fine the patriots a draft pick every time Roger Goodell goes to one of their preseason games. Ban the Jets until they come up with a uniform less ugly to look at. And for ****'s sake - stop injuring our damn players!!! **** you, preseason!!!

it takes at least 3 games for an unproven player to show something. Don't confuse football teams for employers in America, who expect their employees to know everything the first day lol. Football players need time to show. Work out the kinks.
 
four preseason games were necessary in the 50's when guys didn't work out all year and went to regular jobs in the off season. They now get paid so well, they don't need to work and continue to lift and exercise. I too think it should be two games now.
 
2 preseason games, 18 regular season. Cut down to 53 after week 3 of the regular season.
 
Oh goody an 18 game schedule where teams will be eliminated by Week 10 playing for nothing for almost another 10 weeks. Players can't even make it to September let alone into mid January.

yea.....4 preseason, 16 regular, or 2 preseason, 18 regular. Still 20 games. No final cut down until week 3. Instead of two bye weeks limit players to 16 games played. Make the head coaches like baseball managers. Rest your players according to matchups. Expand the "practice squad" and give the ability to make 2 players untouchables.

18 REGULAR season games and 2 preseason games very different than 4 preaseason games and 16 regular season games. That's 18 games of everyone actually trying and playing. Yeah it's still 20 games except 18 of them are now for real instead of 16. If they do 18 they need to get rid of Thursday night and London/Mexico games.

The players don't want an 18 game regular season schedule. It was one of the things they fought for during the last players' strike.

I always wanted to know if they use the same plane when they travel with 90 players (preseason) and when they travel with 53 players. I know Seattle, NE, etc. have their own plane but I think the rest use United Airlines or US airways. I know a dumb question but stilll wanted to know
